Great hike which lets you overlook the entire valley as you go into the Grand Teton range. I went early September before the weather got too cold. The two lakes are not the most phenomenal lakes but it is pleasant to have lunch and relax once you're there. If you want to continue your hike and bag a peak, there is a trail that is not on the maps that lead you up to Disappointment Peak. It can be a class 3 or 4 scramble up but well worth it. Once you summit, you will be surrounded by the three Tetons.

Great cross country hike! There is no trail to follow though if someone else got there before you, you can easily follow their tracks. The dunes are deceptively far away and there are several hills which may lead you to think you're almost done only o show that you are still far from reaching the dunes. Once you get there, the grandeur of dunes and the entirely panamint valley behind you can leave you in awe.

It was a fun hike. Not particularly difficult. The trail condition is not altogether great nor is it entirely clear. The great thing about this hike is that at the first fall, some kind people left some rope to be used to climb into a small concave opening behind the falling water. I went with friends about a week after rain. It would have been amazing with a good volume of flowing water but with the lack of rainfall, there's not much that can be done about that. On the downside, there was a lot of trash along the way. I managed to fill my daypack with trash as I was hiking back down and there was still plenty of trash to be seen.

Had a great experience hiking there in rain. As long as you don't mind the possibility of getting your feet wet, it's not too bad.
