Steep hike. Loads of great views. The abandoned farm was really cool. We took the white trail all the way to the blue, then the red, the yellow and then back down the white. And though the yellow was a cool trail, I could done with the climb back up to the top of the mountain. About half way back up, I kinda wished I would have stayed on the blue trail back to the car

A great trail for off road bicycling. There are some sweet trails in that area or you can connect over to the other side of Jacobsburg crossing a couple of roads and paralleling route 33

What a joke! No trail markings. No way to cross the creek (4 times) without being an acrobat or getting your feet wet. A truly lackluster trail. The shell of the old building with the fireplaces was cool, but really not worth the effort

I gave this trail 4 stars though the one listed is kind of boring. We parked one car a the Lehigh Gap and hiked the 11 miles from Delps. Great views just past Little Gap Road and of course on the Lehigh Gap. Scenic views of the nirth for the last couple of miles

There is a $10 park entrance fee, but worth it. This trail is awesome. Didn't really understand the signs at the far end. It said private trail, but there was no way we were going to backtrack that far so we went right through

Get there early because it is a narrow trail that gets very crowded

This should be an out and back trail. There is no need for the loop unless you just want to add miles and walk through the woods. Take the blue trail from the 9 up to the Timp viewpoint then just round the corner to see the Bear Mountain bridge. Beyond that, the loop is just a long climb down that you have to climb back up. You have to leave the blue trail, follow an old fire road by the creek and then meet up with 1777 trail and climb back up (with no views), kind of a waste and a real leg burner. I woulda been more than happy with the out and back

Great little hike, a bit slippery and lots of roots to step over. Great scenery. Only saw one small snake.

Great hike. Went yesterday and already a ton of people. Lines to get through the rock scrambles. Patking lot was completely full at 10am, and you need to pay the National Parks fee

Nice trail, well marked. We parked at the museum. The App trail north is right there behind the building. The App trail south, though, is down the street. From the museum, walk down the road, past the store, past the mansion, keep walking. it's there up the road on the right, but there is no parking at the point where the trail meets the road. Took the white trail up to the blue. Left hand turn up to Sunset Rocks. Followed the blue trail across the top of the range (some rock climbing involved), across a road, finally connects back up to the white about 4 miles from the spot we parked. Right turn onto the white trail, past the lean to, and past the halfway marker for the App trail. Good hike. Was almost 8 full miles as confirmed by 2 trackers.
