nice, easy trail that can be biked, hiked or snowshoed/xc skied depending on amount of snow. Located in Point Pelee National Park which is the southern most mainland in Canada. The trail itself is well maintained by Park staff composed of hard pack limestone. Depending on the time of the year (there is usually very little foot traffic in the late Fall & Winter) I can stretch the ride out to almost 20 km's by utilizing other trails and the main roadway.

I ride this trail frequently as I live in Windsor. It's a paved linear trail with shared traffic such as cycling, walking, roller blading, etc. There are off shoot trails to explore such as Little River and Blue Heron. Both Little River and Blue Heron although paved, also have a few km's of single track with some mild climbs. A total of 20+ km's of fun!

My wife and I cycled this trail in the fall of 2013. It is a flat, hard pack linear trail. (We rode mountain bikes with front suspension and large volume tires which made the ride enjoyable) It was quite cool (around freezing) but sunny. Started at the Dequindre Rd trail head and cycled west to the Crooks Rd trail head. The first section was quite scenic thru the Bloomer Park area paralleling the north side of the Clinton river. We rode at a leisurely pace (8-10 mph stopping frequently for photo opportunities and to enjoy the vistas. A few of the street crossings were quite heavy with traffic travelling at 40-50 mph. Be cautious when crossing! All in all it was a pleasant out and back ride with a reward of hot apple cider and fresh sugar donuts at Yates Cider Mill just south of the Dequindre trail head.
