Jimmy Bob reviewed Kendall Katwalk Trail

A great day hike in the rain and snow.
There are two sections where the water is really flowing. The first one is quite deep, 90% of people turned back and didn't cross it that we saw.
The second one is easy, go up the hill 50 ft, it is only 2 foot wide, jump it.
Interesting easy hike. Can hear the I-90 freeway the whole hike, didn't like that.

    Great hike.
A long day, close to 18 miles, plus distance for a few nice side hikes.
Amazing autumn colours high up in the hills. We saw bears, goats, hawks, deer. Not too bad.

Great hike, different than the norm.
Not big on spectacular views of the mountain.
    Mostly hiking in the forests.
The final four mile hike back up the hill to Mowich will get you.
This is a 22 mile out and back hike. Alltrails must use some Martian miles measurements.

The boulder field was a lot of fun.
    The ash was fustrating.

The trailhead GPS coordinates are Co-ordinates: 46.6257, -121.4459, made it easy to find the small parking location off the side of the 12 highway, room for several cars.

    Trail is in good shape.

Crossing the river after the first mile gets your feet wet. Crossing it on the way back was a little trickier in the darkness. It can go above your knees.

I thought the last miles heading up to the lookout were pretty hard, but easily doable if you took your time. No bugs really.

    Super views from the top.

I did this trail as an out and back in the same day. It is about 16 miles long.

Usually this trail is pretty empty, but because of the PCT fire detour, we bumped into about 40 hikers heading towards the highway. A lot of them asked me for the number of miles to the highway, a lot were in disbelief for some reason.

Note: I'm not happy with all the plastic tape placed on dozens of trees. That is plastic. Please use anything other than plastic. That will break down smaller and end up the water systems. Think better next time please.

Jimmy Bob reviewed Carbon Glacier Trail

Hiked to Mystic lake via Carbon glacier via Moraine park from the Carbon river trail head.
This hike is about 31 miles. Only about 5k ft of elevation climbing, but mostly on the 2nd half of the outward hike.

Some amazing views, even with all the clouds. You get to see a lot of marmots on the meadows, tiny toads no bigger than your thumb nail, frogs, bats, birds. A lot of different types of wildlife.

Crossing the Carbon river on the log bridge, with the fast moving water flowing beneath you is amazing I feel. Crossing it coming back in the pitch black darkness just with a head light, I felt slightly different, I was sure to keep a steady footing.

A very long day for me, I'm not the fastest hiker but I can go for a long time.

    What a day. The best.

A sunset hike, started from the car park about 5pm.
Skies were hazy from the recent fires near Greenwater, which made for a red sunset.
Easy to get to the peak.
Still dozens of burned trees across the trail.
Back to the car via headlamps. About 11 miles.

Stunning hike, one of the best hikes I have ever been on.
The hike is hard for sure, especially the first few miles.
You can get to the Tatoosh Peak now.
Be careful of the trail about 4 miles in, it has washed out, very slippy on the hill sides, use poles.
