We rode 15 miles on this paved bike trail that runs along the Boise River. It was flat, well marked and had great Mountain and River views. Great for families to get out and exercise. Not strenuous at all.

Great hike: easy 3 mile loop but in the middle, you start to make the trek upwards and then come to a pile of beautiful boulders. If you climb the rocks straight up, you come to a full view of Lake Tahoe. Great for kids that have hiked before (the rock climbing part would be difficult for small kids or those that do not hike regularly). We had a group with kids ages 15-6 and we were fine.

My 13 yr old son and I parked inside DL Bliss State park, right past the pay entrance, in a small parking lot, on the left. Right across from our spot was entrance to Rubicon Trail. Left was to the lighthouse trail (north), right was to emerald Bay (south). We did the southern trail and walked along the shoreline for 1.5 hrs out and 1.5 hrs back. Ended up being about 6 miles round trip. We did stop and take pictures, climbed down to the water a few times. We made it to Parson's rock past Emerald Point and then had to turn around because we had a rafting reservation. The trail is dirt, rocks, easy to walk on. Mostly shaded. The most beautiful, scenic views of the Lake. I probably took 50 amazing photographs. There are a few subtle hills, but not strenuous. This would be a great trail to run on.

Lots of water flowing. Raging rapids. But zero trail markers once you hit desolation wilderness. People left cairns out to help guide you, but it's really every man for themselves. Lots of climbing up large slabs of rock. Lots of walking across fallen trees to get to the other side of a creek. Lots of people wandering around, lost, wondering if they're going the right way and where is the trail to lower horsetail falls...? I had my 13 yr old with me. We had a good walk/climb, but prepare to get lost!

We ran this loop twice (8.68 miles), made that hill climb twice. My Apple Watch said I climbed 190 floors/2000 feet elevation. It's leg day, whether you like it or not. Straight uphill for about a mile. After that, pretty much downhill around the rest of the loop. Loop is, 1 mile up: 3.5 miles slow decline.

Very muddy. Hills. Would be easy to get lost.

Wide trail. Lots of horseback riders. Lots of up and downhill. My 12 yr old son and I went in January while it was cool outside and it was fine. I cannot imagine this hike during full sun, 65 degrees or warmer. Almost zero shade. Very open valley. The river is at about the halfway point. We did 4.44 mile loop.

It's fine... lots of runners, mountain bikers, horses, walkers. Nice that it's close to home. Water levels are always fluctuating. Good place for kids to explore, get dirty and move their bodies.

Very crowded. Parking lot full. Waterfall was okay. We did a few other loops off the main trail to get away from the crowds.

Great photo opps here. Always a rainbow above the dam. Water splashes down on you. Very loud and a grand finale for having walked all that way. My son loved it. Easy hike. Lots of sun in the beginning and at the end. Lots of people on the trail. Very popular.

Uphill climbing over huge rocks and boulders. Great views at the top. One of my son's favorite trails. We did this 2 summers ago during a drought and there was no water to be found on the falls.

Lots of uphill. Rocks, terrain. So green. Water flowing everywhere. Bridges to cross. Lake is very calm and beautiful. Elevation 9700 feet. Feels like 4 miles straight up hill.

Beautiful and must see. Steep downgrade first mile (and last mile is a steep uphill) but the rest is pretty flat and insanely beautiful. Gigantic sequoia trees (some of the largest in the nation). Lots to explore. One of my son's favorite hikes ever.

One of our favorites. Handicap accessible. We push our disabled daughter in her chair on this coastal path. Beautiful panoramic views. Wildlife, waves crashing, wild flowers. Picnic tables for a lunch break. Can be windy and cold, bring a jacket/sweatshirt.
