Very fun NYC walk. Keep in mind that it can close during snowy/icy conditions.
Extra beautiful in the spring when flowers/trees are blooming.

Absolutely gorgeous trail! Hiked it 3/17 - the wildflowers were amazing!! Tough, but totally worth it. Allow 2 1/2 hours - signs at trailhead state that they close the gate promptly at sunset and cars will be locked in/ticketed if you aren’t out in time. Keep this in mind while planning! Lots of parking, good facilities at trailhead.

Very picturesque hike! Starts off easy, then there’s a nice little climb to the wind cave. Parking was easy - $7 to enter the park.

Amazing hike!! The Wave Cave provides one of the best views I’ve ever experienced. Very easy until the last 20 min, which are a good climb. Did this with my 6 year old no problem.
Parking can be an issue - we got there at 8am on Saturday and got one of the last parking spots in the lot at the trailhead. There is another lot .7 miles further down the road for overflow.

Easy hike down to the beach, mostly wooden steps built into the trail. Gorgeous views, but all very crowded.

Beautiful trail, but definitely not for inexperienced hikers wearing vans. Lots of slippery mud along very narrow, steep paths adjacent to steep drop offs. Don’t let the short distance fool you - this is a challenging little hike. Totally worth it if you have hiking boots.

Great hike, very limited parking at the trailhead

Great hike to do with kids!

Really nice walk. My kids rode scooters and had a great time! The trail gets confusing at Indiana and Myrtle. Just head back on Park from that point unless you want to do some desert-like trail walking back to balboa park fountain

Sentinel Rock and Rock City are very cool sights to see at the turnaround of this hike. Good trails.
Parking is not good at all. There is no parking at all at the trailhead (which is right at the south entrance to the park). There are only a couple spots to park in the neighborhood just below the park
