Jen Robertson reviewed Lincoln Mountain Loop

It was windy but truly a gorgeous day. When I started there was just one trail runner and myself in the area. When I started my way back down I saw one other hiker. I had the top all to myself and the solitude was worth the wind. I would have stayed for the sunset but I had some place to be. Next time :)

There were still quite a few different wild flowers on the trail. And the scrub oak was a gorgeous rust color towards the top.

Gorgeous day. Not too busy. Went up to the glacier and then saw people across the way going up the rocks...so we did that, too! Amazing views. Tiny bit of snow on the trail. Go up the rocks (it's a bit of scrambling), it's worth the effort!

Jen Robertson reviewed White Rock / La Madre Springs Loop Trail

My friend and I hiked the loop with the out and back to La Madre Springs. La Madre Springs...getting to it is basically one long uphill walk on a thick layer of loose gravel...not the most exciting. The loop is beautiful, however, with fun sections of quick rises and drops in the trail. With the changes in elevation and amount of sunshine there's a wide array of plant life. We even saw a doe and fawn on the back side of White Rock.

Don't get confused by the washes that run through the trail.

You can start at the White Rock Spring trailhead or the Willow Springs picnic area...
