Nice trail but very few shaded areas. You have to start of near Fish Camp Campgrounds and head to Rocky Point Trail and then the trail splits. They are marked but the posts on some markers have been knocked down. Trail starts off with some elevation gain and slowly brings you down to water level about 1.5 miles in. It was ultra hot today so we didn't bother to go further without shade. We turned back to Rocky Point for shad and crisp cool water. We did score some huckleberries thought.

Easy to get to and moderately trafficked. I hiked it with my daughter and we got to enjoy fantastic swimming in pristine water to we off a hot day. Breathing views and inviting blue waters await.

Jeff Dowdy reviewed East Inlet Trail to Lone Pine Lake

I hiked this trail with my 7 year old. It was still early in the season and cold at night. We camped at East Meadow and hiked towards Cat's Lair but turned back because thunderstorms. Lots of downed trees. The trails were dry except rain but the meadow was flooding. There were reports that the trail was snowed in near Lone Pine Lake, something near 5' supposedly. There are some fantastic vantage points and decent Backcountry sites. Bear cans and permits are required for overnights. I'd love to go back and explore further. We saw moose and deer but no other big animals. Pets are prohibited. Mosquito repellent is a must.

A crushed limestone route that has lots of bike and foot traffic. It connects to the MoPac trail going West though Lincoln which is concrete and offers many services through town. The East trail is rather remote and passes through various coops. I personally haven't been all the way East but I am looking forward to it.

The Billy Wolf is a concrete trail that goes mostly East-West though town. Many trails connect to it and it makes a great addition to the city's network. It is fairly level but crosses many busy areas. There are plenty of shops and residences around for services and a few rather large parks (Holmes Lake and Antelope Park).

A concrete trail running from the Rock Island/Helen Boosalis Trails, Old Cheney Trail, and Southpointe Trails. I frequently use this to commute to work and travel to downtown. The north end is mostly level but there is some slight sloping on the southern end that kids might find challenging. The traffic is fairly moderate and heavy at times. There is partial cover throughout the trail and it passes by various business and residential areas. Most notably really close to the Southpointe mall.

This crushed limestone trail connects the Salt Creek Levee and Homestead trails and runs parallel to the Wideness park complex. The has been extensive damage in the past but repair work began last summer on sections washed out two years ago. There are still some patches that need work but it is a great trail. The surface is improved but may be challenging in spots for road bikes. It is partially covered throughout the trial and virtually level. There aren't many services along the way so plan ahead. My 6yo daughter finds the crushed limestone challenging to ride with her bike otherwise a good trek for kids.

This is a great trail for riding and running. The surface is hard and it connects with many other trails which makes for heavy traffic at times. I use it to commute to work and cruising around with my daughter.

The weather was great so we decided to head out. There were some great views. I'd bone up on where you want to go first. There aren't many options for directions on the fly and depending on your carrier, cell services can be sporty. It's probably the best in this area of the state for topography. Expect some mud. Not a bad place for access to the Mighty Mo for fishing.
