Jon Bartelt reviewed Teton Crest Trail

This is an awesome trail with great scenery and lots of wildlife. There is a lot of elevation change, so it is best done as a multi-day backpacking trip. In the mountains, the weather can change rapidly, so be prepared for sun, rain, or snow. Wildflowers bloom like crazy in August, so that is a great time to go! Here is a full report of the backpacking trip I did along the Teton Crest Trail this year (lots of pics, maps, and other info): https://backpackersreview.wordpress.com/trip-reports/teton-crest-trail/

A really great day hike with awesome views. You can begin/end the hike at either El Chalten or the El Pilar Hostel. We started at the Hostel El Pilar and finished the hike in El Chalten. We took a taxi to the Hostel in the morning before we began hiking. Here is a full description of our hike with photos and maps: https://backpackersreview.wordpress.com/trip-reports/los-glaciares-national-park/

Jon Bartelt reviewed Long Canyon Trail to Deer Lake

This is a great trail that is many people do as a short backpacking trip. You camp at Deer Lake and then hike around the Four Lakes Loop on the next day. On the third day, you hike back out to your car. It's a great short backpacking trip with some awesome scenery. Here is a report I wrote with pics and maps that describes the route in detail: https://backpackersreview.wordpress.com/trip-reports/four-lakes-loop/

This trail is best hiked as an overnight backpacking trip! Doing it as a day hike would make for a very long day with lots of climbing. It's a great backpacking trip if you hike out to one of the lakes in the Four Lakes Loop and set up camp there for two nights. On the 2nd day of you trip, you can do a day hike around the loop and maybe climb up to the top of Siligo Peak. On the 3rd day, you can hike back out to your car at the trail head. Here is a guide I wrote to backpacking the Four Lakes Loops that includes pics, maps, and other info: https://backpackersreview.wordpress.com/trip-reports/four-lakes-loop/

Backpacked to Island Lake July 6-8 and loved it. The area is super beautiful and is only a 3-4 mile hike from the trailhead. One day we did a day hike up to Mount Price and get a look at Lake Aloha. Overall a great place for a low mileage backpacking trip! Extremely photogenic park with a variety of hiking trails. We hiked programme "K" which was about 11 miles long. Get to the park early to avoid the crowds that peak in the afternoon. A beautiful trail that provides nice views of Cerro Torre. The hike is not as great as the Laguna de los Tres hike, but it is still very much worth hiking. Jon Bartelt reviewed Coit Lake Loop Trail

I hiked out to Coit Lake from the Hunting Hollow Park Entrance recently as part of a 2 night backpacking trip. The fishing at Coit was great. Only giving 4 out of 5 stars because the shore access on Coit lake was not as good as Mississippi or Kelly Lake. https://backpackersreview.wordpress.com/trip-reports/henry-coe-coit-lake/

This is a tough hike, but makes for a great backpacking trip. Few people make it to the lake so you are likely to get some solitude. The fishing is great at Mississippi Lake too!
