Jason Bell reviewed Havens Park (Exterior Trail)

Trails get quite muddy on the north side of the hills. I would recommend staying away when it has been raining.

Really nice hiking. The trails hold up when damp too.

Great trails. Nice and wide. Some good hills for a little challenge. Well kept and very used trails. Marked well with maps along the way.

Very nice paved trail. There were some trees down today, but that is expected after storms. I recommend taking the paved trail from the start and taking to the real trails up through the west ridge trail when you get to the opening off of the paved trail. It then loops back to the paved trail. Makes a nice hike and mix of terrain.

May 4th, 2017. The rains have come and everything is green and gorgeous again. Check for ticks!

Been here since childhood. This is not much more than a paved little trail behind a softball field. But, it is a good choice when the rain has the real trial muddy. A few laps is a nice walk.

We went further than just this outer trail. We got in about two miles by going around the entire area outer trail. Trails are wide for mountain biking. The place gets super muddy, so stay away when wet. The top of the hill has some unique landscapes.

The trails are meant more for mountain bikers, so you may have to yield the way to a few you might encounter. Wear good hiking shoes or boots because the trails are rugged and rocky in most places. This is a great escape from the city that still keeps you in the city. I find the Rancho D-Lux trail to be great for hiking.

Jason Bell reviewed Kenneth W Bernard Park. Lansing, KS

15650 Gilman Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048 is the address to find the park. I have no idea what they are talking about with the "Zoch Trailer Park, KS". This park is in Lansing, KS. This area is a nice park with a playground for the kids. The walking is pretty wide open. The only shade you will find is along the creek that runs through the middle of the park. Most of the trails are out in the open through the brush with little shade. Perfect dog walk.

Great trails. Very well kept. Easy to follow. Go when there has been some rain and the creek has plenty of water flowing. The falls are a nice stop.

This is a nice spot for a lunch break hike. It gives you a chance to stay in the city and not feel like you are in the city. This spot has a surprisingly rich history. A fun little walk but watch your step. It is not in top shape. Many branches and rock to maneuver around.

Nice and moderate hike. An easy out and back. Just over six miles if you go end and back to end. It is a mix of gravel road and concrete bike trail. Very clean hike. The scenery over the river is nice. This trail leaves no risk of being lost. Great for dogs.
