Super easy hike. Well marked trails and doesn’t take much time to get to the summit. Views are only seen from the fire tower, though. The only tough thing is the seasonal roads to get there. Truck or an SUV works best!

Pretty easy hike, well marked trail. Didn’t take too long to get to the top. Good views, only from the fire tower, however! Probably won’t do again but we’re completing the fire tower challenge.

Enjoyable hike. Gets rocky at some points but not terrible. Limited space to hang out and enjoy the views if there are multiple hikers at the top. But the views are beautiful even without access to the fire tower. Took about an hour to get to the summit and we flew back down pretty quickly. We did spend some extra time up there because the views are great. I definitely recommend!

Short hike to a nice little waterfall. Slick grounds, luckily there wasn’t many people on the trail. Good spot to bring kids or dogs.

Not too long of a hike but was definitely difficult in some areas due to the continuous steep incline. We made sure to take a few breaks. We arrived around 930am, parking area was full. It wasn't too highly trafficked until our descend. I would say the earlier the better to get started, however you may end up with cloudy/hazy views. Views are great from the firetower. Insects started to become a little bothersome at the summit. All in all, a nice hike.

I along with 3 others hiked this yesterday. I am not a big fan of this trail. It required a lot of strategic maneuvering as most of the trail is chock full of rocks and boulders. The exposed roots get very slippery and the trail was very muddy in many areas. We all had hiked Hurricane Mtn the day before and we all agreed that Blue Mtn was a little more difficult for us (maybe because we were already a little tired). It is highly trafficked and we expected this as we didn't arrive until 12:30-1pm. If you are afraid to climb firetowers, I wouldn't recommend this trail as you will receive minimal gratification from the view without utilizing the firetower. I am happy to have completed this trail, however I don't expect to do it again. The view is awesome though! Due to the rock scrambling and slippery roots, the descend isn't as quick as you hope it to be.

Me and 3 others hiked this trail this past Saturday. Got to the trailhead around 9am with minimal hikers there at the time. As always, earlier the better. This made for a nice hike as there weren't many individuals there yet. The ascend was moderate, steep at times with some nice level portions to regain your energy. The first viewpoint made the fire tower look forever away, but it is honestly an optical illusion as it doesn't really take long at all to reach it. The views were breathtaking and there are many areas to sit and picnic at the summit. The firetower is very sturdy as well. The breeze felt amazing. As we began our descend, the rush of people started. All in all, I definitely recommend this hike! Tip: be sure to wear a form of insect repellent as it tends to get rather buggy! Our party used pure cedarwood and it worked fantastic!

This is always our beginning of the season hike to get us prepared as it is rather easy with a couple of challenges. Very short hike with nice views!

This 360 degree view cant be beat! This is an easy first high peak for beginners. Trail wasn't too difficult and it can get pretty windy at the summit. Be sure to hit this one up! The earlier the hike, the better for foot traffic's sake.

I absolutely loved this hike. From the waterfalls to the views throughout the entire hike. The trees were huge and provided awesome picture opportunities. It was a little longer than I expected with a lot of switchbacks but it was completely worth it. One of those most beautiful hikes to date for me. (I am from Upstate New York and have beautiful hiking in our Adirondacks). There were TONS of people with their dogs which was nice to see except for those that brought very small dogs as it tends to get rocky and is a lengthy hike.

Took the old trail up as I had been told that it will eliminate 1.5 hours plus there are breaks of sun to help enjoy the hike. It was quite steep, very rocky and eroded in many places. I'd rate the old trail as fairly difficult. You can't beat the view, especially during peak fall season. We descended the old trail and with the fallen leaves and wet conditions, it got slick in many areas. I was just very happy to hike this mountain as I had been visiting this area since I was a baby. If you have children or pets, I recommend the new trail as I heard it is much more moderate of a hike.
