Jan Gannon reviewed Armstrong Trail to Dawns Trail Loop

Recommend going up Dawn’s Trail and down Armstrong. Dawn’s trail is restricted to just hikers, but Armstrong allows up hill cycling. It is best to see the bikers coming towards you. Nice views of Park City from Dawn’s trail and very peaceful woods and fields on Armstrong. Don’t go at a time when there are lots of bikers. Trail is narrow.

Great alternative to Frary Peak on a really hot day. Amazing views and reflections in the water. Bring bug spray and lots of water.

Beautiful views and scenery at the top. Lots of areas to explore. Bring water even on this short hike as there is no shade and it was really hot!

Jan Gannon reviewed Bald Mountain via Silver Lake and Ontario Loop

We hiked up Silver Lake and down Ontario. It was interesting to see both trails and walk through the Aspen groves on the Ontario Trail. This being said, I would recommend going up and back Silver Lake and skipping Ontario. Views from the Silver Lake Trail are amazing. We are from Vermont and the altitude did not bother us!

Hiked on 8/6/19. Make sure to hike all the way to Hidden Lake to beat the crowds. Beautiful vistas and wild flowers. Saw 5 mountain goats.

Nice first hike in Glacier, but very crowded. Make sure to hike to the end of the lake. Beautiful reflections in the water.

Hiked on 8/7. Beautiful scenery and wildflowers. Saw a grizzly on the hill above that was moving fast and crossed the trail behind us. Be alert. Bring lots of water.

Hiked on 8/6/19. My favorite hike in Glacier NP. Stunning views and spectacular wild flowers. We took the boats over and then hiked to the Many Glacier Hotel on the way back. Trail is not difficult, just long on a hot sunny day. There is one waterfall that you cross that might be tricky in the spring. Bring lots of water as we drank 4 liters

Icon Vermont Hike with fabulous 360 views on a clear day. Be sure to take the turn off to cantilever rock for an added bonus.

Trails in very good condition. Just a few wet and muddy spots. Very buggy today with black flies, mosquitoes and large bees on the top. Does anyone know what those bees are?

Be sure to bring hiking poles. Helps protect the knees on the rocky portions.

Hiked on 10/14/18. Beautiful hike to see 360 degree views of fabulous fall foliage, Lake Champlain, the Green Mountains and the Adirondacks. The trail is a bit muddy in spots, but not bad. Watch out for the ice and water on the some of the rocks just before heading to the summit. The top of the fire tower can be windy and cold, so make sure to bring a hat and gloves. It took us about 2 hours each way with a nice break at the top for lunch in a sheltered spot away from the wind.
