Have ran this trail multiple times this spring. A lot of the trail is shaded so there has been snow cover in the low points. Ran this whole loop and enjoyed it a lot. Not a lot of high overlook points but still great none the less. The elevation gain is quite manageable coming out to around 3k by my watch.

This is a dirt road, not a trail. It is enjoyable if you're looking for a flat out and back with great scenery (looking up, no vistas as there is no climbing). I ran all the way to the end to the colorado trail trail head. Was about 13 miles. Gradual uphill the entire way out without hardly noticing it. But you really enjoy the surprising downhill on the way back! BONUS it's plowed in the winter.

Loved running this trail. I started from the Pioneer Trail across from Evergreen Parkway and it was a bit over 12 miles. The climb to the peak was long but also somewhat gradual. I was able to run the entirety although it was quite a breather. Saw many deer along the way. As I ran this trail in winter, it was a slippery route back down along Too Long Trail. There is more exposure to sun on this side and the occasional melt and refreeze caused some ice buildup. Just mind the corners and you'll be fine.

Ran this trail to the peak and back. The climb was relatively gradual and I had no problem maintaining a steady pace all the way up. Great views of the rock formations below for most of the way up. Dodge in and out of some tree cover but lots of vistas along the way. Beautiful view of the mountains to the west at the top. Running the power line trail to make a loop would give you close to 8 miles.
