Jacob Ferrante reviewed Wildcat Range Trail

Really switched this hike up. Started at Glen Ellis Falls and headed up through the Wildcat peaks, some fun scrambling involved. Then headed down to the Carter's Notch Hut and headed off to the Carter Dome Trail to bag Carter Dome for our 3rd 4k of the day. This was one vertical rough hike, make sure you have water before heading up because there is none on the trail. Decided to make it a thru hike and head to Mt. Hight which easily has the best views in this range, 360 panoramic views around. Then worked our way down to 19 Mile Brook Trail and headed home. it was about 11 miles or so and I'd recommend if you wanted to spend a whole day out there.

Jacob Ferrante reviewed Arethusa Falls and Frankenstein Cliff Trail

Very cool hike, started at the Frankenstein cliff trail head and made our way up, on the way we came by a train trestle that you could hike to the top of and get some good views. After we made it to Frankenstein cliff which was a very good view, we continued the loop around and saw a sign for falcon cliff which was .5 miles and headed that way, it was an okay view over the main cliff. Then headed down the loop to the falls, very cool waterfall but it was jam packed. Very good hike to kill a few hours.

First 4k, really not crazy about the hike. No real views going up except for the ski hill, and when you get to the top there is one okay view. I would also rate this mountain closer to moderate.

Really fun start to the hike with great views, fun climbing the rocks. Once past the summit the hike got a bit boring, we decided to take the older trail that hadn't been used in a bit by anyone and it was hard to follow with no markers. I'd recommend taking the new Saco trail.

Started with the loop trail. it was wet out and slippery. We got to where you start getting close to the "chimney" with the rungs inside to climb and we decided to turn around because we weren't feeling good about it but we decided to turn around and go back up when we met a group of people who knew the trail. It's definitely a new experience scaling rocks so vertically and being so close to the edge, but overall very fun. Came down the brook trail which was a cool trail with lots of running water. Definitely would be easier for someone not good with heights or climbing .

Really fun hike, wonderful views the whole time up. A lot of people were stopping at the Southwest Summit but we went to the main summit and great views of the white mountains. Also a really cool fire tower at the top, but unfortunately is boarded up .
