This loop trail was a nice way to pass our Sunday afternoon. Though the parking lot near the trail was almost full, we only encountered a few people while we were hiking. We hopped off the trail at a few points to walk down to the river. There are several opportunities for awesome views as you walk. The trees provided some much-needed shade from the sun, but I could see it becoming buggy enough to require some bug spray. Our pup had a fun time climbing up and down the rocks. This was a win for me.

I did this hike almost exactly a year ago with my boyfriend, his friends, and our dogs. We had a great time walking along the trail. The terrain is varied, and there were many interesting things to see on our way to Stone Church. The final portion of the trail leading to SC is a scrabble over wet rocks, so make sure you wear appropriate footwear. All-in-all, I thoroughly enjoyed the trail.

The arboretum is conveniently located near Baltimore city, and is only a 15m drive from where we live downtown. The wooded trails offer a nice change of pace and scenery from city living. The trails were easy to navigate, with a slight incline in some places. The weather was dry, but I can imagine that the trails might get muddy if it has recently rained. We took our pup along, and he had no trouble navigating the terrain with us. I would definitely venture out this way again for a nice walk. It would be nice to visit during the fall.

My boyfriend and I spent an enjoyable afternoon here with our pup. The trails were pretty well-maintained, though, as others have mentioned, they are tricky to navigate in places due to poor trail markers. Nevertheless, the park is small enough that you don't worry about getting lost. It's easy enough to put yourself back on track. Our pup had a great time swimming and jumping around in the water. The hike itself was not strenuous, and I would definitely venture back here again.

My boyfriend and I spent an enjoyable Monday afternoon meandering along this trail. We easily found parking, but had it been a nicer day on a weekend, it may have been trickier. We caught some views of the waterfront as the foliage has not yet filled in for the spring season. It was an easy, dry walk, but recent rainfall would make this trail quite muddy. I would revisit this trail to do some running or even just to get out of the house for fresh air. This was a very relaxing way to spend my day.

I would definitely recommend coming to the park as early as you can in order to ensure parking. We connected with the El Yunque trail via the Mt. Briton spur (after having completed the Mt. Briton trail). The trail afforded us spectacular views of the island. We connected with Las Picachos and walked out to the tower lookout before backtracking and walking up to the El Yunque lookout. The hike itself was relatively easy, but I could see how inclement weather would make the trail difficult to pass. We were apparently lucky and did not experience any rain or cloud cover! Be sure to check the weather before you go, as cloud cover could obscure your view. We had a relatively easy time on this trail, but did have to scramble in a few places. I would recommend shooting down the Roca El Yunque after finishing this trail- the views are fantastic.

We got to the park early and were able to snag a spot in the Mt. Briton parking area. Come early because spots are limited and they fill up quickly! The trail was relatively easy to traverse, irrespective of weather conditions, as the walkway is paved. There is an elevation climb, which is why I would rate this trail as 'moderate'. All in all, it was an easy and enjoyable walk up to the tower. The tower offers a great view of the island in all directions. We hopped onto the Mt. Briton spur and connected with the El Yunque trail that took us upwards and onwards for more spectacular views of this beautiful island. All in all, we spent about four and a half hours exploring the trails and managed a quick dip in the river to refresh ourselves afterwards. It was a morning well spent.

The trail was paved and well-maintained, although there was a lot of garbage in some areas. It was a very easy walk and suitable for all ages and most fitness levels. We had an enjoyable time exploring the various batteries and other structures located on the property. We also strolled down to the water. Overall, it was a nice way to kill a few hours on a chilly Monday morning.

This was an enjoyable hike that is not too far of a trip from Baltimore. Despite the fact that it is late fall, there is a lot to see, and the shoreline and forest views are no less beautiful. We meandered around the main trail and took several of the smaller off-shoots. The abandoned building on the Power House loop has some cool graffiti inside and is worth a look. I also had fun looking for sea glass on the shoreline. The trails themselves were well-maintained and clearly marked. Overall, we had a great time!

My boyfriend and I did this hike in late August and had a great time. The hike was relatively easy, and the views were amazing. We took a little bit of time to explore the climbing access ladders that lead to a lower level of the cliffside. Bring plenty of water, especially in hot weather, and bug spray to ward off the mosquitoes!

I did not expect such a spectacular view of the bridge at the end of this hike. My boyfriend and I did this hike in late August of this year, and didn't have a hard time with it at all. Just make sure to pack plenty of water if you go in warm weather. We did see a few others on the trail during our hike, but were alone at the summit, which gave us time to relax and take in the view.

This was a quick and relatively easy hike. The trail could be slippery if you are not wearing appropriate footwear. We saw a lot of people slipping around in flip flops. Sneakers are the smarter choice for sure. The surf is powerful along the shore during the winter months and WILL break along the rocks that form the trail to the bath. Use your best judgment, and don't be foolish. The ocean is a lot stronger than you are.

Jaclyn B reviewed Canyon Trail to Waipoo Falls

We did this hike after an 7-miler elsewhere in the canyon, so we were a little worn out by the time we got to it. The woman at the lodge lead us to believe that the trail would be relatively flat. In actuality, there were many ups and downs and several steep grades. We didn't have a problem with mud, as it was a dry day, but the loose dust was definitely slippery. The waterfall was pretty cool. We continued past the falls to the right and up onto the opposite bank. You have to muscle through some dense vegetation, but you emerge into a small clearing on the left bank on top of the second level of the waterfall. Be careful though, because one wrong move or misstep could send you over the edge of the falls.

This strenuous hike has a huge payoff in the form of stunning views of the coastline and valley. My boyfriend and I finished this trail in a little under four and a half hours. We went out on a clear day, so our views were unobstructed by clouds or fog. The trail to the cliffs was a pretty steady decline, so be prepared for a corresponding steady incline on your way back. Wear appropriate footwear and be conscious of any rainfall. We went on a dry day, but the trails looked like they could get washed out in a second in bad weather.
