Jacki McCloy reviewed Hidden Valley Trail

once you turn off the Indian trail and head South (not marked) you pretty much are going up, up and up. The valley is peaceful and you won't pass any other hikers. Lots of animal tracks in the mud and snow once you are in the canyon. Totally worth doing, but be prepared to climb.

great hike today, able to see big horn sheep, deer, bison and eagles. I would say it's more of a moderate hike.

litter galore, trail right off the road. passed a homeless camp and turned the corner and bumped into its occupants. My daughter and I didn't feel safe walking it and I hike alone tons and never feel this way.

loved it, went Sunday morning and only passed a few people. I wouldn't give it a hard, moderate but not hard.

Beautiful hike, I wouldn't give it a moderate rating at all, this is an easy trail. I went in the end of June in the late hours and I came across fireflies on the South side, just breath taking to watch them.

Easy trail, extremely used. I've done this 3 times in the last 5 months and winter with snow is hands down the best time to do it, less people and a rope to climb up to the falls.

Defiantly easy hike but a long one. I suggest spring or fall since the shade is limited. Wear good shoes you'll be walking on lots of little rocks. Bring lots of water and watch for bikes.
