Nice hike. Didn’t quite get to the summit - either I missed a turn at very end or it is overgrown - probably would have been pretty easy to get to but will have to try again on another day.

A wonderful hike. Extra special if you’ve read climbing histories of the Eiger (recommend the white spider, Eiger dreams, the climb to hell) awesome hike.

Amazing. World class hike. Did hike in reverse- took train up to Mer de Glace - checked out the ice cave then started the hike - took cable car down from plan du A.......highly recommend doing this hike.

Great hike. Was hot first 1/2 then clouds and rain - huge hail storm for last 100 yards right as we approached the car.

Hiked in the afternoon to just past the spring and set up camp on a hill hidden from the trail. Then took a day pack to cable mountain - really stunning overlook of Zion - absolutely worth the walk. Then back to camp and hiked out in the morning. Great hike - highly recommend. Nice temps in early May - where it was already kind of hot down in the Canyon.

Wonderful trail. I did it as a day hike on 5/1/19. If you do it as a day hike make sure you know the bus schedule. Day hikers can’t park at the trail head so know when the last bus is. Trail is pretty good - maybe not as maintained as bright angel or South K but still pretty good. I only saw a few obvious places to fill water (need to filter) - first is 2ish miles in and and then it was maybe 4ish or more, more miles till there was another obvious place to fill up. If you go from rim to river and back it is 18.2 miles. Ideally you would start early. I started at 10 am - which is not ideal - but I’ve hiked rim to river on other trails before and had a pretty good idea of how long it would take me - but if you haven’t hiked other GC trails be conservative and start early (like 6 am - seriously). Also - as many people mention it is much hotter at the bottom than the top and heat stroke/exhaustion really can sneak up on you. I was lucky today was a relatively cool day for this time of year. Also, I did it on a Wednesday which was nice there really weren’t very many people out on the trail today - especially compared to the most popular trails.

Beautiful hike. Did it as a two day one night backpacking trip with my buddy Art and my dog Lucy. Really beautiful scenery. Hiked at end of March and the days weren’t too hot and night wasn’t too cold. Highly recommend. Lots of mountain bikers in first mile or two and then after that we didn’t see too many people. Also - at time of year we did it plenty of water.

    Really nice hike.

Great little trail. Right next to, but sort of the anti-Tumamoc, instead of paved rocky and narrow - instead of crowded not many people. Fun hike.

Nice walk - cool cave paintings at end - easy to miss the turn off and needed to pay attention to GPS a few times

As mentioned by others not for beginners. Fair bit of off trail/route finding. I was happy to have trekking poles but toward the top I put one away because it was nice to have the free hand for a little bit of scrambling. Overall a pretty cool little hike.

Nice fairly mellow loop. Walked my dog - didn’t see anyone else.

Really nice walk - took my dog - a few mountain bikers and trail runners out there
