    Richard Higginson Pro-red@3x

    Tucson, Arizona

I am happily married with two grown children. I have lived in Tucson for over 21 years and work as an electronic technician. My wife and I ride recumbent trikes and enjoy camping in our popup trailer. We have five Australian Shepherds, two cats, two snakes, and a brown-throat conure. I have set a goal to do the Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim within the next few years.

My daughter and I took a hike up to the falls, and enjoyed it immensely. The PNW forests are incredible, and the scenery along the Twin Falls trail is wonderful. The view of the falls from all three vantage points is well worth taking the time to enjoy, and I was quite glad I brought the DSLR along for the photos. This was quite a change of pace from my usual "home" hikes in the Sonoran Desert near Tucson, and I hope to get more chances to enjoy what Washington has to offer on subsequent visits with our daughter and son-in-law.

Nice trail. Easy to get to, easy to follow, and wonderful scenery. Enough of a climb to get the heartrate up, but short enough that beginners can still handle it.

Nice easier return to starting point after hiking Brown Mountain trail. Only real difficulty is finding where it branches off near Juan Santa Cruz picnic area.
