Very pretty lots of nice views. The lake is gorgeous. Some parts of it are quite hilly and rough. Most of it is very nice walk. Me and my gf did it today and it was beautiful outside. The visitor center is full of information. Some does work there if you have questions and he has maps as well. There are bathrooms along the path. Beautiful overall day

Pretty tough trail after you get through the actual doodle town. At the end of doodle town go left into the woods you will head up the mountain and get on the Appalachian trail. It's a solid 5.8 mile hike. Not the easiest of trails lots of rocks lots of water from recent storm. They do warn you when you get on trail there could be timber rattlers on the trail so if you bring pets be careful. I did not see any. Being in doodle town is quite eerie. It was abandoned in 1965 and that's exactly what it looks like. Like someone was there one day and now it's gone. Most of the buildings are not there any more and if they r they r only foundations. You can see where steps used to go up to houses. Old cemeteries go back to early 1800s. Very nice hike took me and my girlfriend 3 hours.

Pretty easy. There is a long trail extends the hike to 3 miles. I saw deer out there. Once you get off blue trail markings are not that great and they are doing construction on the path. You have to cross streets and people backyards if you wanna do the long path. The waterfall was a trickle when I saw it. Does have some nice views of the ramapo mountains. Saw some other people on the trail mostly teenagers. Didn't see any trash so pretty well kept up. Could do better with markings. Basically it's a one and done kinda trail.
