A Beautiful Coastal Trail with a mix of white sand beach, cobblestone shoreline, rocky cliff coastline, mossy meadows and evergreen forests.

Great hilltop trail without having to climb the mountain. Beautiful panoramic views of the mountain tops and ocean. Its a place where you are left feeling wide open to the sky. There are a lot of moose on this trail, which is why dogs are not allowed (the moose were consistently charging at dogs on the trail). It is very heavily tracfficed as it is probably the most popular trail in the Cabot Trail Park.

Nice and easy trail with a beautiful waterfall at the end of the trail. But I left wishing there was more to view along the trail.

A nice easy walk along the brooke. The waterfall is pretty but not much to the trail besides that. It is a nice quick walk if you are short on time.

Snug Harbour is absolutely beautiful! Crisp clear water with gorgeous mountain views. The first section of the trail is heavily trafficked (as it is the trail to the Western Brooke Pond Ferry), but then you fork off onto the Snug Harbour trail which is lightly trafficked. You will have to ford across the Western Brooke River, so be prepared (water can be anywhere from knee to waist deep with a following current). The trail after this point was very muddy and often overgrown. After the trail reconnected onto the shoreline, I opted to stick along the shore instead of going back on the marked trail through the woods (to avoid the mud holes and slow pace caused by them). Then after I forded across a second small brooke, I reconnected with the marked trail. From this point it was an easy 5 minutes into Snug Harbour.

A beautiful trail with a variety dynamic views along the way. This trail has everything from mountains, cliffs, streams, waterfalls, seastacks and cobblestone shoreline. Make sure to give yourself time to relax and enjoy the beach when you come to the shoreline. The trail is about a 9km return and the park map suggests 3-4hrs to complete.

The Tablelands are an UNESCO world heritage site. It is a beautiful and unique place! Hikers are permitted to adventure off the main trail and navigate their own trail up or around the mountains using a park provided map of the area. I highly recommend this option for experienced hikers only. As the top of the Tablelands is 719m and the terrain is mostly loose rock. But the ascent to the top of the Tablelands is completely worth the work!

Be sure to time your visit with the tides in order to get the most out of your visit to Hopewell Rock. High tide for kayaking and low tide for exploring around the ocean floor and sea caves. Also note, there is a day fee accossiated with entry into the park.

The waterfall is really the only excitement on this trail. Which of course was beautiful.

A beautiful spot. There are 2 trails. One of which is an 8km loop mostly along the cobblestone shoreline. The other is a trail along the stretch of white sand beaches. Although access to the last beaches are denied due to nesting Plovers, but still a beautiful walk up to this point. Very easy trails to hike with benches and platforms along the way. There is no camping at this provincial park. It is for day use only.
