    Ginny Aneca reviewed Albas Falls

This hike was amazing! Very little effort for a great reward over and over! The falls were all so beautiful! We came from the beach on a houseboat and did this hike with 24 people ages 2 to 62 and everyone loved it! One of the highlights of our trip for sure. Water in the creek was chilly but the kids enjoyed a little cool off.

We hiked this in a group with 8 kids ranging from 4-15. It took us 3 hours that is including a stop at the top and lots of pictures along the way. So many marmots out today! The kids enjoyed them. Beautiful views. I think it is rated well as easy, but our group hikes a lot.

We did this hike in a group of 7 ranging from 10 to 60 years old. This took us 8 hours that is including a 1.5 hour lunch break at the lake and some cliff jumping into the lake.
We didn’t find the incline to be very difficult at all the cable, cave and ladder just needed to have caution, everyone in our group did very well.
We had a great time jumping off the cliffs at the top! We all packed 2 L of water and that seemed fine for our group.
We found that by the time we were half way down the kids were pretty tired but once we took their packs they were good to go to the bottom.
This was a fun hike but it is a long one.
I would not consider this a technical hike but the length could be difficult for some people.

Today I did this hike with 3 of my kids age 8, 10 and 13. Trail is steep but I would still consider it moderate for difficulty. We got to the parking lot at 8:30am, lots of places to park, the hike took us just under 2 hours with lots of short breaks. Trail was mostly switchbacks and lots of trees so not a lot of open views, that being said the trails were wide and easy to walk on. We thought it was closer to 6km one way. I was super surprised to see how big the crowds were when we got to the top And it was only a Thursday. We did ride the gondola down just for fun. When we arrived back the parking lot was packed and so many shuttles of people.
Try this hike but do it early to avoid the large crowds!

This was an enjoyable hike. Did this with 3 other ladies and it took us 4 hours with a 20 min lunch at the heli pad. A bit of snow flurries and lots of wind. We would have loved to go the ridge but with the wind we were a bit unsettled. Very happy for my poles!
This was the final hike for our Canmore triple crown so we went into the Georgetown inn and got a free Diet Coke (we don’t drink beer) and ordered our triple crown t shirt.

The falls are really roaring right now! We went as a family and really enjoyed it, we went past the falls and saw more than 12 waterfalls, very wet and slippery, so be careful! Beautiful places to have picnic all along the way!
    Love doing this hike annually.

Ginny Aneca reviewed White Buddha via Powderface Trail

I did this hike with a group of 6 ladies in September 2017 and we really enjoyed it. If you have never done it the white Buddha trail was not clearly marked off the powder face trail, we actually walked right past it and figured it out 10 minutes up the path.
The White Buddha had beautiful views all round for how short the incline was.

My family of 6 did this last summer with kids ages ranging from 7-14. They had a blast in the slot canyon creek walk and in the little areas of water where they could slide in and cool off.
But (the reason for 3 stars) then we walked a long way on a dry hot creek bed and unless you loop to another hike it just ends with no real view. I would recommend just having fun up to where the creek ends and enjoy that, nothing exciting past.

This was an amazing hike! It was very challenging! Breathtaking views!
To our group it was nothing like Ha Ling, it was way harder, but way more fun. There is scree and scramble. Very glad I had my poles and proper boots!
Trails were not marked very clear, on the way down we got a bit off track and ended up in a pretty intense spot. Our group was 4 ladies it took us just under 5 hours with a half hour lunch break at the top and our off track spot.
This was fun adventure and I would do it again.

We did this with some beginner cross country skiers had a great time. We ended up doing about 12 km, we just followed the tracks made. Not sure what other hikes it connected with.
Highly recommend for a beginner or kid cross country skier.
Quiet on the week day, beautiful views!

Did this hike with a few friends. Took us 3.5 hours with stops and lunch break at the top. We got snow and a bit of rain. But making it to the tattered Canada flag in the snow made it feel like a great accomplishment :)
I probably wouldn't take my kids on this hike, they like more waterfalls and lakes not just beautiful views.
But overall a nice quick hike to get some fresh air.

Love!!! This is one of my favourite hikes with kids. Once your at the first falls go left, it's pretty steep for a little bit, but follow the trail and you will find all the secret falls. The further you go the more you find. Lovely spots to take your shoes off and cool down your feet in the water, rest and enjoy the sound of rushing water.
