Gerald Dillon reviewed Mount Timpanogos Trail from Aspen Grove

Entire summit was about 17.3 miles. We hiked it from 10am until 7pm. Very difficult but definitely worth it (especially seeing the mountain goats near emerald lake on the way up and way back down)! The air quality is really bad right now so the views are pretty hazy. But you should still make it to the shack for that overall sense of accomplishment! We saw a lot of people backpacking in around 6-7pm with hopes of camping. There didn't seem to be a ton of places to camp so that was interesting. A fellow hiker told us the chipmunks are so bad up there, they'll eat through anything you have. Anyways, do this one. You may hurt the next day but it's worth it!

This is one of our favorites. Mosquitos are bad at the lake right now but manageable. Wildflowers are beautiful. An easy hike for me and my 5 year old to walk himself. Don't forget $6 if you want to park at Catherine's or cecret parking lots!

Almost no ice or snow left right now and it's been perfect weather for hiking

Amazing waterfalls! Good place to take our dog and kid to camp for a night.

A nice hike for our 4 year old son. We saw lizards, beetles and a snake! Keep to your left the entire time until you get to the bridge.

We've been out here with our 4 year old son and dog recently and it was great for them. The stream was nice for our dog to get a drink and cool off in. My wife went back alone and wanted to go to the lookout peak and she missed the left fork turn (it would be nice if they had better signs but there are not at this time). She's going to go back again soon. Just be prepared at the 3 way intersection to take the left to head towards lookout peak.

Great for little kids and dogs, good place to backpack in and camp with the family. It's getting cold overnight this time of year.

We just backpacked and tent camped two separate nights in the last week here with our dog and 4 year old son. It is a fairly easy hike and camping by the lake up top was amazing!!!!

We love this hike. Our 4 year old son enjoys it as well and only gets tired at the end. The rocky area is tiring for some - the lake and views are worth it! You can also tent camp at the base of it (get there early for general parking or for camping to get a spot).

We love to take our 4 year old son to silver lake. Good chance to see wildlife and it's an easy stroll for all.

A short, well traveled nice hike with waterfall area (would be difficult for some people to get down to - those with very young children or possibly older folks). Parking is difficult if you get there past mid morning.

Rocky terrain at some points, difficult for some people but definitely worth it - great views!
