This trail was so hard! I'm pretty sure I didn't even make it the whole way. I did this hike in late July, so heat was a pretty serious factor. The first part of the hike is through a meadow. Eventually you reach the edges of the canyon. You hike along the lip for a bit. The trail pretty suddenly drops over a rock scree and you really can't tell where it is more than 10ft ahead. You must rely on the cairns to guide you for a lot of it. Poles were a lifesaver (almost literally) on the way into and back out of the canyon.

I got to the bottom of the canyon after an hour or two and it seemed that it continued further into a dry riverbed. I didn't feel the need to go down in elevation any longer, mainly because of the heat. So I turned around and went back up again. I think coming back out may have actually gone a bit faster than going down. All in all, it was really hard and the views were breathtaking.

I did this trail in late July. I started at 8am and had no trouble parking. When I returned to my car, though, there were people just idling in the lot waiting for a spot, so get there early!

The hike itself is pretty flat and stays relatively cool because it follows a river through a canyon. Watch out for critters in the brush, I got creeped out more than once doing this trail alone. The falls are spectacular! Take a swim, but be warned that it's snow melt and is freezing cold! I spent a couple hours swimming and the drying out in the sun and repeating. The area surrounding the waterfall and the pool at its base are all fine sand.

Around 11 a lot of people started started showing up, so I left. On my way back, I encountered a lot of families; it looked like it was going to get pretty crowded.

I accessed this trail from the Queen's Garden and hiked clockwise to avoid trail horse groups. I hiked it in late July and it took me forever! Partly because I wasn't used to the heat and elevation, but also because I had to stop every 10ft to admire my surroundings. My favorite part was the Windows. They were amazing! So bring lots of water and sunscreen, there's no shade, and be ready to take lots of pictures!

This was pretty spectacular. The last mile along the ridge took forever! You are 1500 ft above the canyon floor and the ridge is often only wide enough for one person. There is a chain to hold onto the whole way, but there is still quite a bit of scrambling. It's pretty crowded, so a lot of the challenge comes from trying to pass groups moving in the opposite direction. People have actually fallen to their death, so safety is a real concern.

When you get to the actual landing, it will take your breath away! The views are incredible and it's extremely windy, so out your hat in your backpack. This is not a hike for those afraid of heights. But, if you can stomach it, it is spectacular!

This was cool because it's so unlike anything I'm used to seeing in Washington State. I didn't make it all the way to the Temple, but it's on my list to do so. The going was pretty slow because of the crowds and because you spend the large majority of your time wading in the river. We went in mid-July, but I'm told that access is limited earlier on because of the water levels.

The falls are really cool! This is a popular hike, though, and the parking lot is quite small. I would recommend going early in the morning to beat the crowds. The hike itself is not terribly strenuous, but will still get your heart going.

This trail was hard! Make sure to stop off and see Bridal Veil falls along the way. I would recommend hiking on to Lake Serene in the summer. Bring your sunglasses! The sun reflecting off the lake is blinding. In the winter, the lake is not Serene at all; I experienced 60mph winds and all the water in my CamelBack hose froze solid.

This was very pretty and not too strenuous to get to the falls. I've done this hike in the summer and the winter. The falls are beautiful and roaring in the summer. In the winter, you need showshoes or at the very least snow spikes. The falls are frozen and spectactar.

Lovely park loop, no elevation gain, paved road the entire way. I enjoyed walking it close to sunset. It is quite popular and there is certainly no shortage of people. Good for a nice urban walk.
