9/22 - Not a cloud in the sky, pretty windy but otherwise perfect conditions. Large, flat summit with amazing views! Easy for a 14er, just some pretty loose rock so be careful. The road to the trailhead can be a bit rough, but it’s far better than the Grays/Torrey’s Road. Would recommend highly as a first 14er or just a plain beautiful hike.

Pretty hot in the sun, but totally worth the views of the Coors Brewery and dowtnown! You can even see DIA from the top. Made the loop including the summit in 1h47m, 4.36 miles.

The road is absolutely terrible, although my Tacoma had no trouble handling. Arrived at 6am, snagged an open spot at the trailhead parking lot (someone must’ve already left?). Don’t be fooled by people parking on he road though. Shoot for the TH parking lot and save yourself some extra hiking. From the TH parking lot to Grays only was around 10 miles. Overall beautiful hike, although a storm rolled in and started snowing a bit on us on the summit. Lots of loose rock towards the top. Also, the USGS marker appears to missing from the summit. Looked everywhere and couldn’t find it.

Beautiful hike with plenty of waterfalls, wild flowers and streams all at a moderate grade. The lake itself is awesome, saw a moose and a wolverine there! Parking sucks, as usual, for a weekend.

Pretty steep, narrow in parts. Nice view of the Continental Divide at the top. Seeing the remains of the Crags Hotel was very cool!

Rather underwhelming, mostly due to overcrowding. Steep, challenging grade -should probably be ranked as "hard".

Hiked July 1st, 2018. Arrived at 06:30, trailhead parking lot was full and road side parking was filling up. Quite a crowded trail, almost uncomfortably crowded, although understandable as it was a beautiful day and a weekend! Cold and very windy at the summit, would recommend a pair of gloves. We could actually see both Pike's and Long's peak from the summit, would highly recommend this trail as a 1st 14er. As far as difficulty, the scramble to the summit wasn't the hardest part. The grade increases quite rapidly right before the final push to the summit.
