this is a very nice trail! very well-marked and maintained. flows nicely through the terrain. Bridges and creeks throughout here and there. lots of different watering spots for the dog. beautiful Forest scenery. no real difficulties getting around anywhere on this trail. there are up and down slopes but nothing really difficult to walk. trail conditions are excellent today. beautiful day, great exercise! 8 May 2018

absolutely beautiful out today. nice day to take a hike with a dog. I saw three amazing waterfalls! streams/creeks run here and there throughout this Forest Preserve. Trail takes you along the edge of some steep Cliff areas, be careful. there is a red and yellow trail you can explore. beautiful day, good exercise! 2 May 2018. 78 deg.

beautiful day for a hike with the dog. this is an awesome trail! the trails go all over the place. there is a yellow, blue, and red trail that I saw and explored a bit. nice streams/creeks everywhere. three beautiful waterfalls!! a trail leads to a peaceful rest area at the bottom of one of the falls. you have to cross a low running stream on the yellow trail to continue around, pretty cool! scenery is of forest setting. you walk at the edge of the cliff in a couple areas so be careful. a couple of bridges to cross the streams. looked like maintenance was being done to reconfigure the trails as I saw some of the blue marked oak trees cut down. all in all, just a great place to do whatever it is you do. beautiful day, great exercise. 24 April 2018.

nice day to take a hike with the dog. this is a great woodland trail. it goes up and down the ravine and has some decent inclines. Trail is pretty well-marked all the way to the north end where a nice waterfall is. past a few streams and creeks on the way. very low running water if any today. was going to finish the red trail but markers along the way indicated trail ended at different parking lot entrance so we just headed back. Trail has some steep cliffs on the side along the way. will come back later in the year to finish the trail and see the other waterfalls. beautiful day, great exercise! Sun. 22 App. 2018

nice day to take a leisure walk with the dog. trail conditions today were very good except for a few muddy/swampy areas but no big deal just the same.no snow anywhere and the trails were pretty level walking. don't rely on trail markers, they are too few and far between. seems to be marked at all interconnecting paths though. best to follow the well-beaten path or use your navigation skills to get around. basically a nice walk in the woods with a few creeks here and there. there is a football, softball, baseball fields along the walking route also. beautiful day, great exercise! 21 April 2018.
