This short hike which is mostly comprised of stairs will take you to the top of the Chimney rock. Best views though can be seen from the Opera box and the Devil’s Head which are only a few extra stairs away. As of May 2018, the elevator is still out of order.

Francis Brero reviewed Four Mile Trail to Panorama Trail Loop

One of/if not the best hike in Yosemite!!! Take the shuttle from the visitor center to the Four Mile Trail trailhead. The first bit of the hike is very strenuous as you are climbing 3,300 ft in just 4 miles. The view of valley from Glacier Point is stunning, plan on having lunch there. You will enjoy amazing views on the Panorama Trail which will take you down to the famous John Muir Falls trail where you'll get to see the Nevada falls as well as the Vernal Falls. I highly recommend this hike for anyone in a good physical condition!

A great 3 day hike for beginners. Beware if you are looking for views of the coast and oceans, this is not a hike for you as most of the trail goes deep into the redwoods. I would recommend arriving early at Big Basin Redwood State park to get a camping spot through the lottery (if you don't have one ahead of time). Other than that, the path was very well indicated, my only complaint is that at times the trail went along Highway 9, so on weekends it's not unusual to hear cars driving by.

Francis Brero reviewed Dipsea Trail to Steep Ravine Trail to Matt Davis Loop Trail

Nice hike. Park at the Stinson Beach parking lot and find the trail entrance on the other side of highway 1 (it's a bit hidden). We took Dipsea and then ended with Matt Davis, so counter-clock wise, which I would recommend given the incline on the Matt Davis trail. Most of the hiking is done in the woods which is a good thing on a hot day; the downside being that there are not as many viewing points as we would expect (only at the beginning and the end of the hike). Laying on the beach is a great way to end the hike!!!

Beautiful scenery. This hike is relatively easy (some parts uphill), and goes through various landscapes, from coastal views to historical landmarks. Perfect time of the year to catch the blossoming flowers. Make sure to go to the lighthouse. Unfortunately for us, NPS only allows access to it on Sundays from 12:30pm to 3pm this time of the year.

Great views but we got caught by a snow storm and had to rush back.

Awesome easy hike with multiple stunning views of glaciers. Portage glacier is beautiful from all distances but getting up close was a treat!
