The gorge trail was heavily trafficked today. It is a nice flat trail with the option of walking in the streambed, as long as the park patrol does not care. The reward at the end is a great view of the waterfall. It is more impressive from the view from the South Rim trail.

Hiked the rim trails and the gorge trail on one of the hottest days of the year. Today, the rim trails were not very busy. I recommended starting with the South Rim, then the North Rim and end with the Gorge trail.

The hardest part about getting to this trail is finding parking. We found plenty of parking on Farm Street and walked about 5 minuets to get to the starting point. Beautiful falls with lots of photography opportunities. A shout out to the person who was patrolling the streambed to gently encourage law breakers to get out of the water as several people where attempting to get into the water regardless of all the 'no swimming' signage. Was neat to see all the college kids streaming along the trail and taking advantage of this part of Cornell University.

Very neat park to do some exploring around the several building size rock formations. Picnic area is available.

Note to travelers who are coming to this trailhead from the north. I highly recommend taking 219 into Bradford Pa. and turn right onto Interstate Parkway. It does appear to take longer to get to the trailhead from the AllTrails app instructions provided us to take (seasonal road) Limestone Rd to Ridge Run to Allegheny State Park Rte 2 to Allegheny State Park Rte 3. However, these roads are extremely rough for regular vehicles (car) and even with going at a snails pace, bottomed out once or twice. Risking car damage and very slow speed it not worth gaining a few minutes. The trail was an easy hike and well marked.

This trail should not be rated at easy due to the several staircases that will give you a good cardio workout. If you desire an extra layer of difficulty, start at the West Rim Trial, then down the Gorge and finish with the East Rim. One drawback is the park is charging you to get in but the Gorge Trail was not open when we went there on 5/20/18. Welcome to NYS!!

Today was very windy and colder than we were expecting for a late April hike. The trail is well marked and the views and couple of rock scrambles along the ridge are perfect for a moderate rating hiking trail. Good hiking boots are highly recommended for this craggy trail. Encountered a black snake along the trail but due to the cold weather, it was not moving very fast.

I highly suggest to arrive early if you want to park where the AllTrails app takes you and park near the visitor's center. We got there around 9am on a Saturday and both lots were full. Fortunately, the park posted signs along the road that additional parking was available 1/2 mile up the road. The overflow parking brought us right to the trailhead. The trails are well marked and we took the trail to the vista counter clock wise. It was a bit more challenging going this route but definitely in the lower moderate scale for difficulty. The trail was heavily traffic today but well worth the trek.

We attempted to hike Rob's Trail to Canadice Lake today. First, the trail is not marked. Secondly, we followed the very soggy path for about 3/4 miles in but due to the ankle high mud we decided to turn back. Lastly, we drove to the lakeside about 15 minutes away and the lake was perfect. My afterthought about the trail: The meadow had several song birds which gave my wife good photography opportunities.

A easy trail that is will marked path with informational signs. The Boy Scouts did a nice job in making the signs and providing education about the trees along the way. The Almond Lake water was fairly high this day thus making portions of the trail under water. We went back a week later and the water receded about 30 feet.

What a neat trail to find in the Eastern part of Colorado. The roads (gravel and pitted pavement) getting to this trail are not for the type of car we were driving and was glad the weather was nice. It was very easy park to find and the trails are very well worn so you will not loose your way. I recommend bearing to the right of the trail as you go through the second gate. On you way back from the two main buttes, take the right after the sign and head into the canyon for some very cool exploring. We were there for about 4 hours and wished we had a couple more hours. We were the only hikers there this day.

This was our first hike near the foothills of the Co. Rockies. What beautiful day for this trail; there only a handful people and the weather was perfect. The 'keyhole' is a nice feature along this easy hike. The trail has map location settings along route making it extremely easy to follow.

This trail is quite the scramble once you get near the bigger falls. Going behind the waterfall was nice treat. Lots of people out on this trail today despite the cool weather and dark clouds. We were going walk to Lake Skaneateles but ran out of daylight due to the pending rain.

This is a extremely easy to find trail/falls. To better experience the area; walk across the covered bridge and down the hill. The walk along the stream and seeing all the natural rock formations is very cool.

This was a great trail with lots of unique terrain, difficulty, and the castle ruins were neat to see and read about at the trail head. Madame Sherri lived the American dream and her castle/home in its heyday would have been very cool to experience. The two overlooks were a very nice feature to this hike. I did not mind a few rock scrambles and recommend to take the trail counter-clock wise.

The AllTrails app placed us right to the trailhead. A great day for a hike through a very rocky trail. The blue blazes were not as plentiful as I am used to but the well worn path made following the trail a no-brainer. The trail was heavily trafficked due to the fall foliage. Had a beautiful lunch with my wife at the summit; a win-win time.

Ezra G reviewed Minister Creek Trail

The AllTrails app put us right to the parking lot, the trail starts across the road (the feet painted on the road makes it quite easy to find). When the trail splits, I recommend taking the trail to the right to get a better direction for all the trail options. The scenery was perfect for a great autumn hike. As mentioned below, the blazes are not clearly marked and you can get turned around quickly, especially when you are exploring in and around all the boulders.

Ezra G reviewed Sugarloaf Mountain Loop Trail

The Alltrails app put us right at the trailhead. The weather was perfect for a rigorous hike. When the trail splits for other trials, we decided to stay with Sugarloaf Trail. This is where the moderate difficulty becomes extremely challenging. Fellow hikers, make sure you have the proper footgear and most of the other hikers had hiking poles; we did not have hiking poles. We hiked about 2 miles but the hand over hand ascension got the best of me and the thoughts of the return trip was undermining my hiking experience. I decided not to complete the last mile. I believe this trail should be rated as 'hard.'

This is a great place to hike, especially in the Fall season. Colten Point is a more rugged trail, I recommend proper hiking shoes.

This was well maintained and clearly marked trail with lots of varying terrain. We took the Hemlock Lake Trail today. There were quite of few hikers on the trail today. The trip back to the parking lot was quite the work out. I would not have rated this an easy trail. We are planning to go back to hike to Canadice Lake.

There are so many trails with different skill levels offered at this park. I recommend getting a trail map and plan your hikes. You will discover each trails has lots to offer in the views and difficulty. The falls trails can get quite crowded but worth the dealing with it. I don't recommend dining at Glenn Iris Inn.

Beautiful and well maintained trail that has 3 main options of hiking trails. We hiked the gorge trail early morning and the hiked the north rim trail later in the day. I definitely recommend walking to the top falls. It is in my opinion the best falls overall.

This was nicely marked trail with lots of off trails that were also well indicated. I would suggest preparing yourself prior to hiking to combat mosquitoes as there are plenty and thirsty. The main part of the trail encompasses a pond which is a nice when you could get a glimpse of it due to the high brush growth. Note: the trail map we found is located in further into the trail
