This was a pretty easy hike for the whole family and wow what an amazing waterfall! The whole trail is really pretty and there's another unnamed waterfall along the way that is almost just as amazing as High Bank. It's difficult to get a good picture of the whole waterfall unless you go during the winter or early Spring.

LOL! I came here to leave a trail rating and just noticed that someone used my blog post about our hike here to write the description! :) This is a really neat place! Besides the steep climb out this is a fairly easy trail...about a mile roundtrip. Our 4 and 7 year old boys did great besides some hand holding on the rocky downhill going in.

An absolutely beautiful waterfall that anyone can see! It's one of our favorite Summer swimming holes and always worth the 3 hour drive we make to visit a few times a year. We recently made a Winter visit and it was just as gorgeous!

Short and sweet. Nice trail for a moderate hike. No "wow" features, but the big climbing tree and cave made it much more interesting!

Not a bad little trail. the first part of the trail runs along a bluffline. we didn't know this beforehand and my husband and I took our 4 and 7 year old boys. we held their hands, but it was still a bit nerve racking. the 2nd half of the trail runs below the bluffline and makes for a much easier hike with kids. If you have kids and don't want to do the blufflines, you could easily do the trail backwards by just going left at the trailhead and just do the half below the bluffline. In my opinion this was the more interesting part anyway with the cool climbing tree and the Indian Bluff Cave. Nice trail overall though.

We hiked Hideout Hollow with my two boys (6 & 3) really enjoyed it! Hideout Hollow Falls was running ok, but we liked the smaller falls upstream from it even better! It was like a mini paradise. Definitely signs of camping going on at that spot. I wrote about our hike here: http://www.adventuresintheozarks.com/2015/05/hideout-hollow-trail-and-waterfall.html

This was our second visit and we had a very different experience this time! Last year went on a Sunday and there was a huge crowd of college students, loud music, trash everywhere, lewd behavior...so we played upstream instead and didn't even go to the falls. We decided to visit on a weekday this time. The people were great, the crowd was small, no litter, and the fall was running great! I wrote about our experience here: http://www.adventuresintheozarks.com/2014/08/kings-river-falls-in-witter-ar.html

We hiked this trail with my boys ages 3 and 6 and they did wonderfully! There's so much to see along this trail. It was definitely worth our 2 hour drive to get there. With very slow and careful maneuvering we even managed to get the kids down to the falls and we explored the creek for a long time. We didn't get down into the crack though, we'll save that for a kid free hike here another time.

Hiked this trail again just a little over a year later and we finally caught the falls during high water! Last year Tea Kettle Falls was bone dry, but the creek was full and the falls were amazing this time...actually, even besides the other larger waterfall along the trail called Reynolds Falls, there were little falls and cascades everywhere! It was an amazing hike even though we got totally soaked. That's the only bad part about the creek being high. You do have to cross a few times no matter what, but you can easily manage to stay dry when its low. No chance of that when its high lol.

My mom and I visited Triple Falls on a freezing sleeting gloomy New Years afternoon, but it was still beautiful! The falls weren't running very much, but enough to make a twin fall :) Unfortunately we had bad timing. The day AFTER we went, that area received tons of rain so we saw a slew of pics all over Instagram of the falls in all their glory. Oh well..we'll definitely be visiting again!
