This is by far one of my favorite trails in Southern California! There is such lush greenery that one cannot see in many in this region. The views of the ocean are supposedly spectacular, but I did not get to see as the day was incredibly foggy when I went. Speaking of fogginess - due to the non-sunny weather, there weren't many people on the trail. Needless to say, parking was a breeze (there is free parking right at the trailhead.) However, I do think that the trail may be more crowded on sunny days, so I'd watch out for that.

When I went, the wildflowers were just beginning to bloom, and I expect that these would be beautiful in the spring. The rock formations you see throughout the trail are very interesting as well!

Also, the hike itself is not very strenuous, and I think anybody can complete this trail without any problems.

This is a lesser-known hike where one can experience the redwoods to the fullest! The hike itself isn't too strenuous and it's definitely worth doing. Note that this hike is separate unit from Henry Cowell State Park!

I hiked this trail with a friend, and we hiked to Skull Rock. We were actually looking forward to the waterfall, but it wasn't much of a waterfall when we went... I suppose during the summer, there is less water. However, it really was a nice escape from the city. There are also beautiful views of the ocean :)

There is no denying that the waterfall is incredibly beautiful. However, it is rather touristy, and if you are looking for somewhere more quiet, I suggest hiking the nearby trails, which will definitely not disappoint!

This was a short but wonderful hike! The trail itself was fairly easy, and the views were simply breathtaking. I would warn those who have a fear of heights, though.
