When up to the start of the ascent and decided not to do the peak. Wind was super strong. No one else was out on the mountain. Snowshoes were extremely helpful (yay Revo Ascent!). Crampons and spikes were not needed on the glacier, though the hike from the parking lot to the lake had some pretty slick spots, especially for non-hiking shoes. Boyfriend brought his skis and took a few runs down the glacier.

Nice to go in April when it’s much less crowded.

Nice trail. Waterfall was great. Boyfriend jumped in for a dip and said it was still fairly cold. Did this at around a 20 minute/mile hiking pace.

Short creek crossing. Probably more fun in the summer but it was pleasant. Waterfall is pretty.

This is an awesome trail down the side of a canyon (1400 feet in I believe less than a mile). The walk down the wash to the White Rim was a really nice break before the trek back up.
Moving time was around 2 hours, including taking pictures and looking around the rim. Poles recommended.

Pleasant, Broken Arch was pretty. Very scenic views of the La Sal mountains. Tapestry Arch was less interesting.

Could have done with a few fewer people on this trail but it didn’t take away from the experience. Tons of awesome rock formations and arches on this trail. The out and back portion to Dark Angel isn’t the coolest part of the trail so if you’re looking to cut a little distance that wasn’t a must-see for me. Good shoes with grip helped a lot in some spots. There is a bit of bouldering but nothing too extreme or strenuous. Highly recommended for people wanting to do some hiking on a national park trail that’s slightly more challenging.

Nice hike, saw only three other people. We camped at the Gold Bar recreation area across the street from Corona Arch trailhead. This trailhead is around 5 minutes up Potash from the Corona trailhead. The cairns are fairly difficult to see if you accidentally get below them on the return. It got pretty chilly once the sun started setting.

Emma Jones reviewed Peek-a-Boo and Spooky Slot Canyons

These slot canyons were great. They were definitely not something I’d be able to go do on my own since I needed help in a few spots from my much taller boyfriend.
Spooky is Very narrow at some points. If you are broad, even if you’re fit, there’s a good chance there are a few spots that you may not fit.
Some people were taking their toddlers through and honestly that kind of ruined it for most other people in there. They cause huge hold ups and seemed scared at many moments. Think hard about bringing young kids with you.
There was rain 2 days before I did the loop and peekaboo had up to knee deep water in some places. Spooky was much dryer. We did it in sandals and that was perfect for wading through water and having enough grip on the stone. Make sure to check weather conditions in the area ahead of time. We wanted to do Brimstone but the water was more than waist deep. Temperature was great in March.
