Went up via the SW Ridge Trail and it was extremely steep. Went down Dry Canyon and thought it was enjoyable enough. Probably won't do this again but glad I did it. View is great.

This was an excellent hike. It is steep for good portions: this is one you need to prepare for. Bring plenty of water.= and get an early start to avoid the heat.

Great hike if you have a free afternoon. The elevation gain is rough but not terrible. Awesome views from the top. Definitely a worthwhile hike.

Best hike I've ever done. And that is really saying a lot.

My rating is going to be slightly inflated due to the fact that I did this in fall, but this was a beautiful hike. I also really like that despite going on one of the busier weekends during the year (fall break) there were only a few other people on the trail. This leaves a lot of room to explore further; I would recommend going further and exploring the views from the Ridge Trail where Pine Hollow ends. Will definitely do again

This was not an easy hike, but it was beautiful and very rewarding. You pass a handful of waterfalls, have great views of Timp and Utah Lake, and come across springs and meadows as well as forested areas. I would very highly recommend this hike to anyone who is at least a fairly experienced hiker. My buddy and I started on the trailhead at 5pm and with some stops to take pictures of the views were off the mountain by 930. I want to come back and backpack it.

One of my all time favorite hikes. I started from the Death Canyon Trailhead and wouldn't recommend doing it any other way. That trail takes you to the Phelps Overlook which gives you the best view of the lake. The rock jump is way fun for most ages. The lake is beautiful and a must see and GTNP.

Fun adventure if you're looking to avoid crowds and wanna try something different. I recommend starting from the parking lot above Nunn's park. The easiest way to get to it in my opiniion is if you walk across the little bridge that goes over Provo River before the overpass from that parking lot. There's a trail that comes off of it and takes you around a fenced off water shed area. Lots of climbing over rocks and some bushwacking but the waterfall is definitely worth checking out at least once. You can climb above it and keep going but I didn't explore it too far.

Really cool waterfall. Tends to be crowded during peak times. Definitely worth doing.

The premier trail in the Alpine Loop. Long and difficult, but people of varying abilities that I know have done it. Would certainly recommend.

This was a fun little hike. Great views and not busy at all on a Thursday evening in July. I would recommend it for anyone starting to get into hiking to more experienced hikers looking for a shorter hike.

Pretty fun little hike. Great for a hot summer day as there is plenty of tree cover and a waterfall. I took the cub scouts and they had a good time hiking around it and to the top of the fall. Very easy but usage is more moderate than light.

Might be my new favorite hike in the greater Utah Valley area. Went with a buddy and there were very few people on the way up and while we were there. Hopped in the lake and it was super cold but definitely refreshing. Awesome views the whole way and especially at the lake.

On the way out we must have passed 30+ people looking to either hike or camp the lake. It was the first day of a 3 day weekend so I'll give it a pass for being overcrowded this time. The dirt road was really rough but there were a handful of sedans in the parking lot. I can't imagine they didn't bottom out a ton.

In terms of distance/difficulty to rewarding view this is a great hike. short, slightly steep, but pretty easy. the drive is tougher than the whole hike but I would come back to camp along here.

Not great as a slot canyon but a very beautiful hike (and easy hike). Good chance you won't run into anyone else during your time there. Fun little adventure.

Elliot Adair reviewed Cascade Saddle Trail

One of the toughest trails in the Uintahs in my opinion. Super beautiful the whole way and the saddle brings awesome views of a number of different peaks. From the saddle you can hook up to dry fork trail which connects to rock canyon. You can also walk along the ridge line to the different peaks on cascade. This trail is deceptively steep and long. Worth the hike of you're an experienced hiker and in good shape.

You also are pretty isolated. I spent some time in my hammock at the saddle and was on the mountain for about 8 hours. Outside of a mile or so from the trailhead I saw one person.

Rock Climbing is excellent. The trail is pleasant though very heavily used. Good for hiking, especially if you want to go further up it, but great for rock climbing.

Elliot Adair reviewed The "Y" Mountain Trail

The hike to the Y is about a one star but if you go past up into the canyon and past bear flats, you can get to Maple Flats(with springs early in the season), the peak of Y Mountain, and the overlook of Y Mountain. Much more adventure to be had past the Y. The Y is overused and is not a terribly fun hike until you get past it.

Elliot Adair reviewed Peek-a-boo, Spooky, and Brimstone Gulches

Peek-a-boo and Spooky are second-to-none slot canyons. Very fun and worth the drive/hike. In all seriousness, if you are a bit bigger, Spooky might not be a good idea. It is extremely narrow. If you go in early spring you will likely not have the same levels of crowds and heat.
