This is a little urban forest that is in rough shape. Trails are minimally (if at all) maintained. The amount of deadwood and blowover is like I've never seen before. There almost seems to be more trees on the ground than in the air. Its a great little spot if you're a teenager skipping school but not much beyond that. Some redeeming values are the spritely little Lynn River that meanders through the forest offering fishing opportunities. The main trail is wide and most of the trails are easy with on section along the river moderate. The trails tend to muddy. The conservation area is built on the site of an old milling operation, however the sign denoting the information is on the Lynn Valley Trail.

Trail is in generally poor condition and only minimally maintained. However this forest has many different "moods" as you walk through it making it interesting. Dirt bikes and four wheelers use this trail as well. The far end has an observation tower run by McMaster University studying carbon capture in this forest. As you near the end, you can sometimes here the "whine" from it.

Probably the most scenic of the Springwater Trails. A nice little boardwalk on the end crosses a little stream where you can watch minnows dart about. The boardwalk has benches to rest on. Bugs can be bad in the spring.

Not as scenic as the rest of Springwater Conservation Area, but much more quiet. Almost none of the trees have been tagged. Easy, comfortable trail.

Lots of deadwood and blowover surrounding this trail.

Nice trail, very rocky with lots of roots but very scenic. Nice to hike the trail and then jump in the lake afterwards. Lots of people. Go early in the morning.

Trail was not as good as I remembered it. I hadn't been here in at least 10 years. The main trail was very muddy but very wide. I could not get over how busy it was for a weekday on a cold march day! This is the most tagged forest I've ever seen with most of the trees on the main trail carved into by young lovers. I found it fascinating to look at the dates on the trees and see what a tradition that this has become. The main maple bush had a lot more deadfall in it that I'm used to seeing.

Very basic easy going loop trail. Trail is generally wide and soft packed. Very relaxing short walk.
