Alexandra Deguzman reviewed Skyline Trail (Cactus to Clouds)

It was hard but manageable. Started at midnight, got to the ranger station in 7.5 hours. Ate and chilled for a minute then took 3 hours to get to the Mount San Jacinto summit. I love the hike! Love the beautiful sunrise!

Hiked this after a storm so had snow/ice on the trail. Came down in the dark and trail got a little icy and slipped a few times so I finally put on my spikes and felt better descending. Beautiful sunset and view. Experienced a headache at about 10,000 ft.

Alexandra Deguzman reviewed Big Sur - Sykes hot springs via Pine Ridge Trail

Completed this hike over the Memorial Day weekend. Started at the Big Sur Station, took the Pine Ridge Trail to set up our tents at Barlow Flat Campground. Set up the tent right next to the river. Few mosquitoes so bring OFF lotion. Not a lot of sun exposure so it's a little chilly. But more space for camping. Then day hiked to Sykes Hot Springs. It's very crowded and saw a couple of young naked people jump in the hot springs. According to my mapmyhike app, it was 7 miles from Big Sur Station Pine Ridge trailhead to Barlow Flat campground. Then it was 3.1 miles from Barlow Flat to Sykes Hot Springs.

Climbed Baldy again on May 9. Lots of snow when we started but started melting quickly later that day. Took the ski hut trail this time to go up the summit and took the devil's backbone to ski lift then the trail to the lower parking area. Total of 15.14 miles.

Pretty hike with lots of pretty flowers and lady bugs. Didn't get to summit Cuyamaca peak but I enjoyed the hike.

Climbed this last month in support of the Wounded Warrior Heroes Project. And at the same time, as part of my training for Mount Whitney. Cold at the top. Beautiful views.

Easy trail. Cool small waterfall. Peaceful with some shades from the trees.

I did the hike this morning. Awesome hike. Will definitely get your heart pumping going up. I slipped a few times coming down the hill because a lot of loose rocks and I wore my Vibram five fingers with not a lot of grip. No shades so full expose to the sun and heat. Great hike! Definitely felt it on my calves and thighs.
