A mesmerizing trail. Not very long into the hike and you realize you're in a special place. It's very quiet and offers a sense of solitude. We were on the trail for 3 and half hours and saw one person at the beginning and one mountain biker at the end. The trail winds around a very unique creek that looks magical. All sorts of moss and dead leaves cover the area. There are also these trees that were hollowed out and looked almost like they were sculpted. We saw deer up close, walked underneath a be hive (that was off trail) that we didn't know was there, which we quickly moved away from. One of my favorite parts is that at about half way on the trail (3 miles and change) there is an opening down to the river that you can go sit on the shore and eat lunch. Truly a wonderful trail. I highly recommend it. Make sure to bring enough water and some snacks. There are plenty of shaded areas to take a break at.
