Fantastic hike! Beautiful views at the top of Flume and Liberty. Relaxed at the top of both peaks for a while and had a cup of cha. (Bring bug spray)

Other than the 1 Mile or so of a climb to the top of Flume this is a pretty gentle 4K. The climb is very tough and I would absolutely say do NOT go down Flume. Climb Flume trail and descend Liberty.

Also not too busy on the trails for a Sunday. Savage day. Keep er lit.

David Magee reviewed North Kinsman and South Kinsman Trail via Lonesome Lake and Appalachian Trail

A decent hike! The views at Lonesome lake and the option to swim in the summer make this a great hike when the weather is a little better.

North Kinsman definitely the best view point out of the two. Two Pretty active people and took us 5:45 with a good amount of breaks for lunch and stopped in the hut.

Conditions were muddy but not bad at all! 4.5/5

David Magee reviewed Mount Tecumseh Trail

Started at 9am. Trail pretty packed with snow, micro spikes and poles all that were needed. Initial part of the trail was pretty easy the last 1/3 was extremely steep a progressive climb that is very strenuous. Short hike- up and down in 3 hours minutes with a break at the top.

David Magee reviewed Mount Lafayette and Franconia Ridge Trail Loop

Started up Old Bridle Path, there was a lot of fresh snow, so we were breaking trail for the majority of the trail to the hut. Beautiful views with blue skies. From the hut to Lafayette the first .4 miles was best in snow shoes. Then we needed to switch to micro spikes. Very very windy and there was a lot of large sections of the hike that had a lot of ice. We are pretty new to Winter Hiking in NH but we managed well and took our time, the clear weather helped but on a day with poor visibility I wouldn’t recommend continuing unless you have did this route many times. Winds were very strong so we went out and back the same route rather than walk over the ridge. Great day with beautiful views, my favorite hike in NH.

Took us around 5.5 hours to get to Lafayette and back. Cautious on the way up but we could descend at speed with the snow and the trail being defined. Some very steep parts but managed it well.

After all the rain on Sunday this was still a great hike! Beautiful views on the way up, strenuous at times. Will 100% be back!!
