This is a great trail! I had no idea it was going to be such a fun hike. It had it all - elevation gains, amazing views, the trail route is on a cliff, and everyone was really friendly. I can’t say enough good about it. Instantly became a favorite of mine. You must trek up to the peak, the view is worth the trip. I will definitely hike this trail again!

A great workout with beautiful views all along the way. This is a gravel trail with good inclines so you can definitely break in your trekking poles. Reaching Tom’s Thumb felt very accomplishing and was well worth the hike. Very friendly people on the trail. Bring plenty of water. I will hike this again!

Off of I-10, head North to Lost Creek Dr, a 4-way stop. From there, turn left (West). You’ll drive through a nice neighborhood but eventually arrive right at the trailhead. Very limited parking but free.

I suggest hiking this trail clockwise. Also, the trail itself is obvious but it is not marked very well, thus making it quite confusing in some parts. Nor is there any type of map at the trailhead. If you start at the yellow gate on your left, you can’t miss the glyphs. They are fenced in but still very cool to see. Be sure to use the AllTrails map for best results following the trail. I did see a tarantula and also a pack of coyotes. Overall a very nice hike with some small elevation gains but some good views of the surrounding ranges and Phx. I would hike this trail again.

Great trail and views! This trail is exactly what hiking is about. This is a must if you visit Sedona. The Bridge is much smaller when you are standing on top of it. Take plenty of water but there are numerous spots for rest and shade. Free to park, if you find a spot. I will hike this trail again.

This was a cool hike. Wasn’t too much special about it although it did offer some really cool views. The return had some nice elevation gains at points, nothing great though. The bridge mentioned in the below review had been destroyed by the time I hiked it on 12/1, so it was just a hike across a dry river bed instead. If you’re here, be sure to hike Yavapai Point Trail, too. No shade, so take plenty of water if you plan on hiking both. $7 to enter, and I might would hike this again when I return for Yavapai Point, but just to see if the bridge had been repaired.

Excellent hike! The view at the top was well worth the short hike. Mostly flat, but there is a noticeable incline close to the top of mountain. A small bench is located on top so you can sit and enjoy the view for a moment. Not being a longtime local, it was good to see that much water again. Visited with some cool people, too. Also saw my 1st ever tarantula on the trail! Shout out to Rocky for giving me the courage to walk past it. I hiked this on 12/1 so it was perfect weather, but like most AZ trails, there’s not much shade. $7 to enter, I would hike this trail again.

This trail starts off simple enough, but then you quickly feel like you’re getting a pretty solid hike going. Offers some spectacular views. It’s worth it to get to the top. A great hike overall!

Great, yet simple trail. Offers some great views of downtown Phoenix and the surrounding ranges. I definitely took a moment here and there to take in the views. The weather was perfect the day I hiked it in late November, but this is not a shaded trail by any means. Minimal effort for the experienced hiker, but was still fun and worth it. I did hike it counterclockwise to help with the elevation gains. If you go right instead of left at the entrance of the trail, there is a small bench that offers some great views. $7 to enter, I might do this trail again.
