The route that's on here isn't the best one to take and is more easy/moderate due to it mostly being an access road with little sun cover. I ended up going to Twin Lake reservoir and looping back down on the twin lake trail which was much better, so next time I'd take that trail out and back instead. Gorgeous views at the top. Watch out for mountain bikers if you venture on the single track trails, though hikers always have right of way. Also watch out for the frisbee golfers, those people are ruthless and will chuck a disc at your head with no notice.

Not very crowded, which was a plus. Trail was in good shape, stream crossings were very manageable. Brought my dog, she loved it. Took a dip in the lake. Love this hike!

Great trail. Fairly well maintained. Gate to get to the trail head opens up today, 7/1. Took my dog on it today and she loved it, she even took a dip in the lake and played with all the other pups up there. This is a moderate/easy trail, with only some small steeps to climb. It's fairly long, so bring water, but also nicely shaded to help keep you cool. Lots of single track. Do it on an odd numbered day so you don't have to deal with MTB'ers. Watch out for off leash dogs that aren't well behaved, some dog owners have a bit too much faith in their "good girl/boy". Parking is tight and the $3 per car fee to get up means you should carpool if you can.

I really enjoyed this trail. Beautiful walk through trees (aspens?) to begin and then it opens up to the long, winding climb up to silver lake. Lots of loose dirt and rock so be very careful. I saw a woman who hurt her knee making her way down today. But I also saw a little boy running up the trail with relative ease. The lake is amazing, but was quite chilly and windy. Would be perfect for a warmer day. Lots of people camping up there. Not too challenging but also not an easy/super family friendly hike either. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

If you are a human that enjoys trudging through horse manure, you may enjoy this one. I personally believe this trail should be renamed to "Horse Shit Highway". Seriously good views to be had, but just drive up to the silver lake trailhead instead.

Parking is kind of weird, it's on street in a residential dead end way up in the avenues. Trail starts out pretty mild and opens up to some really beautiful views of the city. I saw some MTB'ers zooming down the trail I was walking up so be careful of them especially when it gets into a more single track type of trail. I took a wrong turn at one point to stay on the more major trail but easily found my way back to hike up the peaks. The peak area is more steep with some loose rock. Can be a bit windy too with not much shade. A lot of people have dogs off leash and I saw a good amount of dog poop sitting on the sides of the trail. Overall, I'd do this again and even trail run or mtb it. Views are really great! Hike it on a less hazy day.

Easy hike up to the falls. Your feet will get wet. Be prepared! Moderate/hard rock scramble up the top of the falls is optional, but to get in the "donut" you'll have to do it! Lots of slick rock. Packed with families. Beautiful views at the top. Overall, I'd do it again.

Really beautiful destination. Short hike up a rocky path, but only moderately difficult. Most well-prepared kids can get this one done easily. Docking a star because I couldn't take a dip in the lake... no swimming!

Nice, easy trail that I'd consider taking older folks or younger kids on. Beautiful meadow views with mountains all around. Smells so good with all the flowers blooming! A must do is to connect to Cecret Lake trail at the top when you get to Alta's Cecret Lift, which is a moderately difficult trail (not for most kids or elderly) but well worth it with the lake views.
