Busy trail, but well worth it. The water is quite cool at punchbowl falls. The scenery all the way to the falls is epic and the incline is very tolerable for small kids.

This is my "go to" trail in the Vancouver area for mountain biking. Great challenging trails that have a bit of everything. Rock gardens, log rides, twisty singletrack, and some great downhills. Took me a while to figure out the best talks to take, but it was well worth it. I park up on the East side of the park near an elementary school and start at the trail entrance there.

Beautiful area, great for taking pictures and hiking with young kids. Small parking lot.

Had so much fun with the lower cave that we just did the upper cave. Much more challenging. The lower cave is a flat walk, while the upper is scrambling over lava rocks and climbing some small ledges. Very fun. There is an exit at the end so you can either climb out our turn around and do it again. You can also start at the exit. Strongly recommend headlamps on the upper add you will need your hands free to navigate the rocks. Great for older kids >6 years.

Very nice, scenic, easy hike along the lake. Well groomed trail, mountain bikes are allowed, but didn't see any. Trailhead is easy to find at the boat launch. You can take a side trail up to the Coldwater visitor center. Will be back for sure and will probably bring mountain bikes fur an easy ride with the kids.

Great trail for families. Keep the little ones on a short leash though. Can get crowded. You will need an adventure pass to park at the bottom.

Great trail in a lava tube. We did the lower trail which is great for little kids. Bring your own headlamps for everyone in your group. They do rent gas lanterns at the trailhead.

Always check current conditions before doing this climb. http://www.mountain-forecast.com/peaks/Mount-Saint-Helens/forecasts/2549. Wasn't not able to make the summit due to adverse conditions. Everyone I meet on the mountain turned around also about the weather station (around 6500 ft). Not much snow right now. Skiers and boarders had a hard time coming down with all the rocks. You can still glissade parts of it though. Climbing permits are free during the winter, you just need a Sno-Park parking pass. You start at Marble Mountain Sno-Park (2700 ft). We camped by chocolate falls (4800 ft) and attempted the summit the next day. We used snow shoes on the way up and glissaded down. Ice axe highly recommended and with show shoes or crampons.

Fantastic trail up to the top of the falls. It is super busy down below, but the crowds dwindle the farther up you go. The view from the top of the falls is spectacular and you can play in creek at the top or can even continue up the trail to connect to other trails.
