Pretty difficult for me but it was quite beautiful. Disappointed about the ice caves but there was plenty to see without them.

Took lots of wrong turns because the trail was poorly marked in my opinion. Lots of red dots on the trees but when it came time to forks or turns, you'd have to go down the trail a bit to see the next trail marker and hope you made the right turn or else ya gotta turn around.
Nothing really to see along the loop. If I had known I would have turned around once I hit the creek crossing (coming from Mariaville Rd).
Very muddy and narrow. Wouldn't recommend this for kids as there are steep ledges along the trail.
No trail down to see the big waterfall but it is possible to get down there. Be careful.

Beautiful and quick. Wish I had gone when the water was flowing a lot more.

Very easy and beautiful. Had to climb over a couple fallen trees but it wasn't bad.

I loved the views and it's a nice shady trail. But the lowest part of the trail was flooded when I went with my son. Like waist deep flooded.

Most difficult hike I've ever been on but the view is worth it. Takes about 5 hours to get up there and about 4 to get down. I wouldn't trust the distance on the signs. Bring plenty of water or a filter because there are a couple opportunities to fill up using the brooks. Wear shoes with some strong grip and waterproof would be helpful since there's plenty of walking through big puddles. Put one foot in front of the other ;)

Steady uphill climb and very muddy this time of year. Glad I wore my boots because people in tennis shoes were sliding all over the place. The view is fantastic at the top and well worth the hike.

Every time we go, it's very packed. Doesn't matter if we go on a weekend or during the week. Very beautiful and well maintained. The river access is my son's favorite. He can spend all day there running through the water and building sand castles with the soft wet sand. This trip is quite a drive for us but we love it and always hit up a restaurant named Small Fryes that's kinda near by. Delish!
