Awesome trail, get there early to avoid the crowds. Recommend doing Primitive Trail counter clockwise...trail can be hard to navigate once you get to Private Arch cutoff going the other direction.

Very cool trail features like walking along sandstone fins and some light scrambling.

One of the most spectacular hikes I've ever done. The last 1/2 mile is not for the faint of heart, but the views are well worth the effort.

Take the shuttle from the visitor center at 6 a.m. sharp to avoid mid-morning crowds and excessive heat. If you're in good shape this is honestly moderate, but traversing the final stretch is a little sketchy so I understand the "difficult" rating.

    Do not miss this hike!!

Trail is under about 3 feet of snow once you pass the scenic loop trail, which is closed. Travel without snowshoes is not advised. Did not continue on West Maroon due to constant avalanches (which we watched enthusiastically). Amazing hike.

recently burned and blown out. primarily intended for horses, but suitable for hikers. Like very enjoyable once the vegetation grows back
