One of my favorites. Hiked 9/2014 and again 7/2018 and the wild basin area continues to be my favorite areas. In 2014 I did not climb the top of the ozual falls, tho this past trip in 2018 I did and wow what a view. At ozual falls keep hiking left into that boulder collective valley, there is a trail you will come across but if not just keep hiking along the rock ridge to a point and theres where you turn right and start making your way back to the waterfall to see 2 amazing views, one down the falls and the mountain view behind you. Def my new favorite lunch spot

I drove from denver but If my friends and family want to see it while in town Im going to do the train trip to enjoy the views. Drivn took 3 hrs with construction traffic while amtrak is 5 hrs, bring a bike rental with you to take a short bike ride to the trail head. Either way you get there, the view is absolutly worth it. This is a tourist trail, busy.

“Not the size that counts but the motion of the ocean” lmao...ok ok but its perfect for this trail. Super short but alot of motion. Bout an hour drive from denver w construction traffic so bring lunch and enjoy it with the misty roar from the falls.

You will see disapointing views from others but ill just advise, this is a creek falls not waterfalls so its small. The upperfalls you will need to trek thru a creek to actually see the creek falls. Nice boulder formations surrounding it and hike itself is a nice figure 8 loop w 2 parking lots. Ive hiked this 2 times 9/2014 & 7/2018 and both times it was a great wooded hike.

Lakes r theraputic. If I hike this again Ill either camp at the base and do rogers pass the following day or camp at the middle of the trail at the lower lakes n trout fish. Def wish I knew it was such a great camping area w so many alike enthusiast to share the adventure with. The hiker companionship is strong w this trail.

It was a great hike w great views if you have good weather. I walked all the way to the top where u get a great view of 2 peaks. Picked up a black trash bag otw up and used it to slide down most the way back, if u tuck ur legs in u go pretty far! People were also filming off paddle boards while people were jumping off cliff into the lake. Too cold for me! Alot to do with ur friends that like to giggle. Enjoy!

View at the top is worth it. 360 degree mountain view. Climb up can be strenous as I found myself taking more breaks than I normally do but the descent was very fast lol.
