great way to escape into nature when in the great city of Ann Arbor. There's always a decent number of people in there. Always better to leave the Arb before it gets completely dark, but otherwise VERY safe.

Great easy hike which you can make as short or as long as you like. Fun to go find the University of Michigan Observatory. Very private and allows for lots of exploration.

Favorite place in the park. We went in May and there weren't very many people here since it's kind of out of the way from other parts of the park. Super fun to climb around on the rocks and a great place to cool down if it's a scorcher out.

Beautiful scenery but pretty congested with people. Might be better early in the morning or in the evening.

Ciara Lesko reviewed Waterloo Pinckney Trail to Blind Lake

One of my favorite hikes in the Waterloo-Pinckney system. Blind lake is absolutely beautiful and the campsite you can reserve there provides stunning sunrises on the lake. Stunning in the fall. Just keep an eye out for mountain bikers as the hike travels along part of the Potawatomi Trail.

We took part of this trail up to Rocky Top as a two night backpacking trip. We stayed at campsite #10 off of the Russell Field Trail and then hiked to Spencefield Shelter, dropped off our gear, and climbed Rocky Top. Pretty difficult hike, you'll be feeling your quads by the end. Stunning views and super fun getting to meet thru-hikers of the AT. We then hiked back to our vehicle at the campground in Cades Cove. Would definitely recommend this trail to experience some of the AT

Perfect trail to learn and get better at mountain biking. Can get really busy mid-day, ESPECIALLY on the weekends. I always go early in the morning (8am-9am) and don't have an issue. You can hike this, but just make sure that you are aware and ready to jump out of the way when bikes come flying around. There are plenty of other trails for just hikers in the area, so I wouldn't recommend this trail first for hiking. Views of Green Lake are great and is a super fun trail to ride.

Great day hike for anyone in the area. Crooked Lake is beautiful and there's a little bench that allows for you to take in the waterfront views for a while. Perfect in the fall.

Absolutely spectacular. Super short and available for everyone but with some of the best views. A must stop before leaving.

Great, great hike that's super easy. If you continue up the trail and climb the lookout rock, you can get some beautiful views of the mountains in the distance. Favorite hike in the park.

I will be undertaking this trail for the third year in a row because it's simply the best out there. Can be done in 3 nights, but 4 nights out there allows for you to really enjoy the campsites and the views. Beaver Creek is the best campsite on the trail. If you're planning on doing this trek, be sure to make your reservations months ahead of time. I will be doing this trail again in August and made my reservations in April to be sure I was able to get the campsites we wanted. Can't recommend this trail enough.

One of my favorite trails in the park. Great views of the river and dense forest. Was pretty muddy in sections once you come off the river, but should be better the later you go in the year. All of the campsites along this trail are great so you really can't go wrong. Already planning my trip back.

    Ciara Lesko reviewed Escarpment Trail

The most beautiful trail in the park. If there's one thing you do in the Porkies, it has to be the Escarpment. Especially beautiful during sunrise and sunset over the Lake of the Clouds. You won't be disappointed!

Ciara Lesko reviewed Lake Superior Trail

The Lake Superior Trail is wonderful once you get past the down trees and excess mud the first several miles. Definitely slowed us down but was oh-so worth it once we reached the shoreline and our campsite. Check with rangers before you leave to see the condition of trails. Would've made a big difference for us!

My favorite hike in Zion. We stayed out in the backcountry for one night here at campsite #4. It was absolutely beautiful and there wasn't another soul in sight. The rocks glowed at dusk and the moon shined throughout the night. During the day, the desert got up to about 75-80 degrees at the end of February with high 20s-low 30s at night. An abundance of scenery. Can't recommend it more.

great trail for just wanting to relax and take in the scenery. The pools are beautiful and are a great spot to eat a snack and just kick back for a while.

Super challenging but OH SO WORTH IT. Best view of the park by far. Make sure you bring lots of water and a snack or two. Also be prepared to take breaks as it's quite the trek up there. If you want to do one challenging hike while you're there, definitely make it this one.

This trail was incredibly challenging (and precarious at times) but oh so rewarding. Make sure that you have crampon spikes or traction devices if there’s any kind of ice though. They could literally save your life.

If you’re in Zion and are in good health, you have to complete this trail!!
