At Dead woman’s hollow end they are doing a reforestation where most of the underbrush has been burnt & quite a few acres of trees taken out... sign said September they began but it’s still in the process as of 1/10/18 ... I didn’t find the trail too impressive however it is a fairly easy hike with less steps & more flat area on the trail.

Camped overnight here...awesome place & hike... as we were rounding the lake near the second bridge where the trail starts to get overgrown we came upon 2 black bear cubs..one was swimming in the lake ... they both ran off but be aware of bears!..

8/8/17-We hiked this trail to the falls & up the side of the falls to the ridge line and down to Byers lake.. camped overnight, woke up @ 5am to finish our hike around the lake & ran into 2 black bear cubs where the trail gets overgrown, right before the bridge... although we didn't have a problem.. be aware bears are there!.. awesome falls & hike!!!

Awesome experience... we set up hammocks off the trail using boulders as anchors.. seen 2 Caribou, & about a dozen doll sheep.. hiked up the mountain vertically to the top 4,244' .. an amazing hike!!!

Went to this place 7/29/17 .. very highly recommend for the adventurer... there are maps online if you need.. we went in about 400'~500' but it goes much longer and we weren't properly outfitted as I assumed it was just a hole that would end in a few feet.. definitely a legit cave, after doing research I found it is the largest tectonic cave in the United States... suggestions are proper lighting & proper footwear & clothing ... and you want to bridge valley road & park along side the road...enjoy!!!

Awesome area & waterfall! The only downfall was parking...we ended up parking in the Nature center parking lot about a mile or so down the gravel road that Kilgore falls parking lot is on (take a right at the first stop sign and at the second stop sign make a right, parking lot is immediately on the left) don't make the mistake many others did and park on the side of the road...on our way back there was police ticketing all the cars parked along the road...

Excellent hike in my opinion...if you go in the direction of sunset rocks from the beginning, most will find it challenging because of the steep incline & once you get to the top you have yet another challenge of climbing around/over boulders... lots to see, the halfway point on the AT... also seen a couple deer & a turkey..and despite all the reviews of timber rattlesnakes.. I didn't see any..
