    Las Cruces, New Mexico

I am a non-traditional student at New Mexico State University-Dona Ana and an Associate of Arts major. A single, transgender lesbian woman, I was born in Baldwin on the mostly-flat South Shore of Long Island but lived much of my life in Connecticut's Newtown and Southbury. That and for 13 years in the Deep, Deep South in Orlando, Florida. A writer, currently I'm working on the manuscript for the first of my two books. One based upon both my childhood growing up the misfit child and teenager in Baldwin, NY and Newtown, CT it's called Chasing Rainbows:A Search for Identity amidst Role Confusion. Despite having lived, more like existed, in this garbage hole city called Las Cruces, NM I haven't hiked as much as I used to back east in both Florida and Connecticut. The New Mexican desert, for me, is not the " Land of Enchantment. Wish that All-Trails had trails in foreign countries, as I'd love to see what there is over in UK, Australia, Netherlands/Antilles states, and other. [One day I'd love to move to one of those Socially-better countries!]
