Marshy atmosphere, but very pretty. Nice escape for a quick solitary stroll, or a break from the monotonous neighborhood dog walk. Even a beach spot on the creek for the dog to play in.

Easy walk from the parking lot. Several rock structures in the river are easily accessible on foot. Took my dog for a walk there, and he enjoyed the water and trail. Good spot to spend a Late morning - day trip on a Sat or Sun. You could splash in the water to cool off. You could picnic near the parking lot.

Our hike was about 5 miles to the camp site. Not a hard hike. Hiking with a 20+ lb bag is a bit challenging, but if you are relatively healthy it is doable. The campsites are picturesque. Near the water. Nice places to swim. The hike back is mostly uphill, and is a bit of a workout with a bag. Still worth the trip.

Right off the road. Nice rocky stream. You can bring a tube and float down. Pools at the bottom into a swimming hole. Good for walking your dog. Nice way to beat the heat with a dog or friends.

Easy hike to the camping spots. Could spend a whole weekend, and hike in supplies easily. About a half mile or so. Good beginners spot. Popular. Come early to get sites by the river. Tall trees. Lots of ferns.
