    Charles Spangler reviewed Lakeside Trail

Not a moderate trail at all. We hiked it today with a 9 and 11 year old boys in 4 hours. Stopping frequently to watch wildlife and teach the boys about nature. Mostly level and easy walking. I have hiked this trail several times in 3 hours or less and also it makes a great day hike with plenty of places to stop, eat, replenish your water, hang in your hammock, or whatever your into! Enjoy the trail.

Very peaceful and less traveled than other trails. This is a hike and not a stroll around the rim. Watch the ledges if you have kids like us. Beautiful views and plenty of places to eat lunch or read a book. Awesome.

Very easy trail that starts from the visitors center. Great view of the Canyon! A must see. Climb the rock at the end of the trail and get some great pano shots from up there!

This is a very nice and easy hike if you don't do the loop at the end that has you summit two rather steep rock points. The main trail is easy and goes through pine and sage fields. The loop at the end is strenuous but worth the views on each summit. We only saw 3 other people on our hike, so their is plenty of solitude if that's your thing. One of my favorites for Zion!!!!

Nice all paved trail with a couple of bridge crossings over the Virgin River. Very easy to walk, bike, or jog. Nice views of the lower canyon!

This is a absolutely beautiful hike! Not for those out of shape or with bad knees. There is a steep decent into the canyon via series of switchbacks. Once down the hiking is easy and there is tons to explore. Beware.....what Go's down must go back up! At altitude this is made harder! Just know your limit and all will be fine. Take extra water and sun screen.

Great hike with breath taking views! The hoodoos are are so awesome. Easy to moderate hike. Family friendly. Highly recommended if your in the area. Highly recommended for anyone not wanting to hike down into the canyon. Beware of the elevation in this area. 7k to 9k above sea level, if your not prepared for it it will catch up with you quickly. This hike is also exposed to direct sun all day!

Charles Spangler reviewed The Zion Narrows Riverside Walk

My family loves this hike and we will do it again before we leave. We rented the water shoes from the outfitters that came w/ neoprene socks and a walking stick for $24 / person. In hindsight, we could have done this hike in old sneakers. The walking stick is a must for support while crossing a few of the river areas that the water is running fast though. Very scenic. Great place to hike on a hot day. Great views and and tons of photo ops. If your coming to Zion this has to be on your list of hikes. Getting to the Narrows is a easy on the Riverside Walk which is paved the entire way from the bus to the start of the Narrows trail up the Virgin river. Enjoy your hike!
