Bryn Horst reviewed Etiwanda Falls Trail

just finished and all I can saw is owwwww. My Fitbit measured it at a little over 4 miles round trip, a far cry from the 3.4 it says it is. it's not rocky like boulder-y where you have to climb over things but pebble-y where every step is unstable and you're in danger of rolling an ankle. Once you get up there it's absolutely beautiful and a great place to relax and chill for a while. There is graffiti buy we didn't see much trash that people were complaining about. It is very steep and there really isn't anywhere along the trail to rest. It actually took us about the same amount of time going up as it did coming down. Absolutely no coverage and when it's sunny it's HOT. Good luck!

Beautiful but there's not really a trail for the first mile which is just basically a rocky dry riverbed that you make your way down. We probably wouldn't have found where you turn off the riverbed to go up if people hadn't been coming out and showed us where to go. Once you're off the riverbed keep going up and stay to the left is the best advice we were given. It's quite steep and it goes on for about quarter to half a mile but once you get there it's absolutely beautiful. I gave it 4 stars for the amount of trash we saw and the fact that there's no real trail for the first mile or so. There is tons of graffiti as others have mentioned, i didn't mind that as much, i can appreciate it as some form of art but the trash really annoys me. Also for the first mile along the riverbed there is no coverage at all so odn't go on a super bright and clear day, we did it when it was overcast and cool which make it completely pleasant.

Beautiful trail mostly shady so it was nice even on an 85°+ California day. It's about a mile each way from the campground. The way in is almost entire uphill, and a bit rockier than I initially thought but not too challenging and lots of fun just watch yourself. Saw plenty of kids and dogs along the way so definitely kid friendly and such.

stunning! not too hard not too long. The map and directions to the trailhead on here lead to a handicap only parking lot but continue on a bit and there's a $5 lot to park in, it's an envelope payment so make sure you have exact cash and a pen to fill out the parking envelope.

the trail was nice, uphill in downhill out but it's not just a slope there are dirt stairs built into it which made it a lot easier for me. The entire trail is parallel to the river with several beautiful lookouts onto the river. The water was beyond crystal clear, I'm from LA and here on vacation so I'm definitely not used to that

overall definitely recommend and would do again!

beautiful hike the falls felt AMAZING. The information says 2.8 miles but I have a pedometer that measures distance as well as steps and it reported roughly 3.25 miles one way from parking lot to falls and the same on the way back. I'm not sure if the 2.8 miles reported is the round trip length or the one way but either way it is way short. Also the ENTIRE 3.25 miles in is up hill and the last 1.25 is ridiculously steep, I messed up my back a like a week or 2 ago and needed to stop A LOT on the way up. wear good shoes and bring PLENTY of water, between my boyfriend and I we went through 6 bottles round trip but we also went on a 90° day which I don't recommend as when you get past the cabins there isn't much shade. All in all it was beautiful and lots of fun just next time I wouldn't do it with an even slightly hurting back
