Brittany McGraw Harvell reviewed Gahuti Backcountry Trail

Beautiful trail but youre definitely close to cabins/pavilions/ general development for a good portion of the trail. This could be good or bad depending on your personal preferences.

crowded and highly manicured. I personally prefer backcountry trails so it wasn't really my cup of tea, but I can see how it could be a nice short trail for families as long as they can handle all the stairs. The bridge is cool, we would have liked to make it all the way to the floor but they weren't giving out permits that day.

This trail is like suddenly stumbling into Narnia. We went during the week in early May and only came across one couple. The grove itself is simply awe inspiring... There are no words or pictures to do it justice.

It's right there so you might as well take 10 min to see it. It was barely a trickle when I went though.

Brittany McGraw Harvell reviewed Big Creek Gulf, Big Creek Rim, and Stone Door Trails Loop

We took the gulf trail to alum campground and laurel back to the parking lot. The views from the rim are great and being able to cool off in the river after the descent was amazing. Campground 4,5, and (partially) 6 at alum campground sit on the edge of a bluff and have the best views. I wish we had taken the rim trail back rather than laurel since the latter was just an easy walk in the woods with no views or major topo changes.

Beautiful trail and the creek crossings are fun. We went in May so the water was still really chilly. Going uphill, we never saw anyone else after the falls so it was very peaceful. The only downside is the trail isn't very clearly marked, esp when it goes through some brushy parts. definitely bring a map and some trekking poles!
