very nice and easy hike. Nearly all shaded which was a blessing in August. A beautiful view without a hard climb. Park at Dickey Ridge visitors center which has nice rest rooms, visitors center and visitas. Walk through picnic grounds until it brings you to cross skyline drive. Didnt find one tick or see one bear like other posts.

Trail ran a portion of the trail and was delighted. Followed a beautiful creek and the trail was well maintained. A bit steep in places and small sections of rocks and roots that making footing a bit tricky. I was in shade the whole way and it felt cool in spite of a hot July day. I'll be back.

Hidden gem in dense suburbia. You feel like you're far away in a magical place however parts are extremely overgrown. Wear pants and be prepare to push through overgrown trail with thorn bushes. Lots of down trees but some clearing work has been done. The area clearly experienced severe flooding but was dried out. I hope the trails will be cleared soon and this will be my favorite nearby hike.

Fun series of connecting trails in a very pretty wooded area. There are a lot of signs but I found them confusing instead of helpful. Everything is a loop so you cant get far enough away to get lost. The bugs were pretty terrible, not biting but annoying. It was mostly quiet, with some traffic noise in places. Very clean trail with nice benches in places. I did some trail running but difficult footing with roots and some small inclines that give a little challenge.

Great short hike but odd trail markings that changed color from white to green to blue and back to white making me unsure if I was on the right trail. One trail split was confusing but some kind soul handwrote "hog" in marker on a small green trail blaze. Awesome views at the top and only strenuous at the last part with a bit of a scramble.
