Amazing views, and a well beaten path made this a great choice, and an easy hike for our whole family. It's ACTUALLY little more than a mile round-trip hike from the trailhead. It was easy for my 8 year old daughter.

Hiked to the tram and back. It had been raining ever so slightly that morning, but we decided to hike it anyway. About a quarter of the way up it got suddenly nasty. We kept climbing, convincing ourselves we would simply take the tram back down from the top. After a grueling, cold, and VERY wet hike up the mountain, we find the tram has closed early due to inclement weather! We were already soaked to the bone, but had to other option--we set off back down the hill. Although we were dripping from every square inch of our persons, the hike was a fun experience none the less! I believe it would have been even better experiencing the hike on a dry, sunny afternoon!

One of the best "advanced" trails in the area for mountain biking! Great ascent up the left side of the Green Valley "Gap", with great views right from the start. 3/4 of the way up the climb, the trail jogs through a fun and less technical rock section before your last small climb to the crest. The top rewards you with amazing views to the south. Below is a very fun and flowing beginner trail called Bear Claw Poppy. There are usually individuals riding it on mountain bikes as it is one of the busiest trails in Southern Utah. Zen trail shines on the descents, with fast, vertical, often rocked-out ledges, steep slick rock, and boulders of all sizes. The bottom section is fun as it travels slick-rock style riding across the large boulders at the bottom but be careful to pay attention as the trail is very easy to lose. I am a local to the area and Zen trail is one of my favorite trails in the Southern Utah area!
